'Dodgy shops' surge across UK as vape and convenience stores tied to organised crime So-called 'dodgy shops' have spread rapidly across UK high streets, as well as complex criminal networks that underpinned them, according to Trading Standards.

A report by the organisation found that organised crime groups are linked to as many as half of vape and convenience stores, and a quarter of fast food takeaways in some areas of the country.

Up to a third of American candy stores in specific areas are also suspected of being a front for criminal activity, the organisation’s Hidden In Plain Sight report said.
