🇮🇪📈🛢Protests Against Rising Fuel Prices Erupt in Ireland

❗️This week, transport companies and farmers across the country have blocked fuel depots. For instance, in Dublin, protesters blocked access to a refinery. Additionally, trucks and tractors have obstructed traffic on one of the city's main highways.

🟢➡️The situation is so serious that the government has called on the army to remove the protesters' vehicles.

"Blocking critically important national infrastructure will not be tolerated, and we have sought assistance from the Defense Forces. Large vehicles blocking critical infrastructure will be removed," stated Ireland's Minister of Justice, O'Callaghan.

➡️Kevin McParlan, director of Fuels for Ireland (an industry body representing 50% of Irish fuel suppliers), mentioned that there are 1,600 gas stations in the country, of which just over a third are currently experiencing fuel shortages. He added that the number of gas stations without fuel could rise to two-thirds.

❌Due to the conflict in the Middle East, there has been a sharp rise in fuel prices in Ireland in recent weeks.
