⁠Minister Theresa Villiers refuses to agree for halal and kosher meat to be labelled because it will make it more expensive. This is because the offcuts are recycled to the general public who subsidise the trade (by purchasing) and would stop if it was labelled.

So the majority who use supermarkets are forced to subsidise a practice they oppose on behalf of a minority.
