Whatever one's view on these events, this is a more rational basis for accepting temporary refugees. At least in *nearby nations*.

A new upload from my friend at the folk archive.
Remember I mentioned 'Folkweave' a couple of weeks back? The BBC radio show done on a small budget that recorded folk performances in the Midlands area?
Well one of the few artists whose performances on the show that were not lost were those of Jon Raven, who had the foresight to reissue them himself.
This 60 minute record tells the stories of the English Canal system, their construction, use and decline, as well as the trouble caused by the immigrating Navis along the way. I hope you enjoy it, and otherwise have a very relaxing Sunday!

Pancake day represents the start of Lent, traditionally forty days long it was instituted to teach men self control and commemorate Christ's fasting in the wilderness.
In Staffordshire on the Monday before Shrove Tuesday it was common for people to eat a meal of Bacon and eggs. This was known as 'Collop Monday'.
At Lichfield grammer school it was customary for the children to take part in 'barring out' their schoolmasters.
In some parishes, Church bells would ring out at 11am on Tuesday to tell cooks and housewifes to prepare the batter.
If it snowed on Shrove Tuesday, cooks would carry the batter outside to catch a few flakes, which was said to improve the mixture.
Finally, the first three pancakes of the batch were held to be sacred. They were marked with a cross and sprinkled with salt to keep evil spirits away, then put aside. There was even a rhyme -
"Good pancakes made of milk and beer, Are made for no one present here; There's one for Peter, one for Paul, The third for him who made us all."

The demands of noxious far-Left organisations like the Runnymede Trust ( see:OurMigrationStory) to teach children that history proves migration is great and that diversity is wonderful, are about to be put into practice by a nominally Conservative Party, in an education department run by a man to whose family we gave asylum, the Iraqi Zahawi. Patel's family was similarly given asylum, but railroads our immigration, visa and refugee policies to increase immigration, Zahawi teaches our children that it's great. Due to begin 2024.
She should be grateful that she didn't see the same fate as Marike De Klerk after her husband ushered in ANC rule. Those consequences will come later, unless we reverse things.
