Some comments and clips by the 'Extremism Commissioner' Sara Khan to the Home Affairs Committee. She wants her department to determine what you can say online and decide who is prosecuted. She thinks the law needs to be changed to make currently legal points of view suddenly illegal. Then she wants a wide new swathe of people potentially prosecuted and proscribed from social media, even including relatively tame voices such as Robinson. She wants a discussion on whether sites such as Bitchute (and Telegram) should be allowed in Britain. She wants to steer the discussion away from Islamic practices and largely focus on the far-Right (of course, her minority heritage feels most threatened by anti-immigration views) by using the sleight of hand definition of "hateful extremism". Yet few members of the public are paying attention to these figures working in the background, Fabian-like removing the ground from under your feet while you look elsewhere.

Obviously this is London not Dorset, but is there any reason to expect a significant divergence?
