Two MIGRANT men have been arrested on suspicion of ATTEMPTED MURDER after a man was stabbed at a former hall of residence that is now housing MIGRANTS in Derby

The man was attacked in Laverstoke Court, off Peet Street, at about 10:50 BST on Tuesday

He has been taken to hospital with life-threatening injuries and remains there.

The force said the arrested men, both in their 20s, remained in custody, adding those involved are understood to be known to one another.

There is no wider risk to the local community, police added.

A "significant police presence" will remain in the Laverstoke Court area as inquiries continue
