It's been a bit quiet from my end this year. The reason is that I've started a new full-time role as a professor in the Netherlands, where I'm training a new generation of researchers to make the internet a safer place. Having said that, I'm trying my best to ensure that the app still works at an adequate level. I've even applied for public funds from the European Union to expand the feature set inside the TrackerControl app. I hope it'll work out. On the other hand, I do wonder sometimes to what extent the app is still needed, since DuckDuckGo decided to copy my implementation to their tracking blocking system. Their approach blocks less tracking to be more end-user-friendly. But, under the hood, they use the same NetGuard-based approach for their tracking blocking. The team behind this, at the time, asked for my advice on how to accomplish this. The fact that TrackerControl features are now used by millions of people everyday wouldn't have been possible without the support of this community. So, I'd like to thank you all for your continued support over the years. You're the best.
