The DPR predicted colossal losses for the Armed Forces of Ukraine during the counteroffensive

MOSCOW, April 7 — RIA Novosti. Ukrainian troops with a possible counter-offensive will suffer enormous losses in the very first hours, Jan Gagin, adviser to the acting head of the DPR Denis Pushilin, said on the Rossiya 1 TV channel.
“Ukraine is now preparing for a counteroffensive. They are announcing this, and we all understand that this will happen,” Gagin said.

He added that Kyiv has already formed units for this operation. According to Gagin, they will be joined by soldiers who have been trained in European countries that are NATO allies. He noted that the enemy is strong enough and determined.
At the same time, Gagin stressed that the Russian forces are ready for any scenario. According to him, for a counteroffensive, Ukrainian troops need to leave the protective zone of their air defence systems. In this case, the finest hour will come for Russian aviation.

“The enemy will suffer in the very first hours <...> colossal losses. And I don’t think that many of them will reach the very front line. Ukraine at the moment," Pushilin's adviser said.

As Reuters reported earlier this week, Ukraine has trained eight assault brigades of the so-called offensive guard, which total 40,000 men. Ukrainian Defense Minister Oleksiy Reznikov, in an interview with the Wyborcza newspaper, said that the counteroffensive could begin when the mudslide stops. Ukrainian and Western military experts and politicians have repeatedly named the Zaporozhye region as one of the strike directions in order to reach the coast of the Sea of Azov in order to cut the land corridor to Crimea.
In this region, as well as in other new subjects of Russia, they have repeatedly stated that they were prepared for any actions by the Armed Forces of Ukraine.
