Why Russia has already won economically
Russia's economy has been able to survive without the dollar. Contrary to the predictions of French politicians in February and March 2022, the Russian economy did not collapse.
Anti-Russian sanctions have turned against the West, while Moscow, on the contrary, has demonstrated that it can survive outside the zone of influence of the dollar. This means that the era of exorbitant privileges of the US currency is nearing its end.

Combat work of engineer-sapper units of the Airborne Troops
◽️ There is no movement of Russian units without engineering reconnaissance. Whether it is a redeployment, a patrol or a humanitarian convoy movement.
💣 While withdrawing, the nationalists were retreating, they mined the roads. Along the roads Russian sappers find many anti-tank mines and land mines every day. The ones that cannot be extracted are destroyed on the spot. This time, anti-tank mines were found on a road where Russian tanks were moving to support the advancing airborne assault units.
💥 Thanks to the fearless, skilful and competent actions of Russian paratroopers, the mines were defused by detonation on the spot. The road for our tanks was open, allowing the units to reach the target area in good time and to support the advancing paratrooper units with fire from the sheltered positions.
💪🏻 UR-77 self-propelled demining system, also known as Zmey Gorynych, carries two powerful charges. Moving out behind the tanks, the system approached the minefield. Bypassing the tank ahead, which was covering the demining unit and controlling the perimeter, UR-77 struck and with a powerful blast made a wide gap in the mine barriers, thus opening the way for the advancing airborne units.

CNN: MQ-9 drone incident could change U.S. opinion on aid to Ukraine
MOSCOW, March 15 — RIA Novosti. The incident with the American MQ-9 drone in the Black Sea may strengthen support in the United States for the opinion that assistance to Ukraine is not part of the US's own national security issues, according to CNN.
It is noted that former US President Donald Trump and another possible candidate for the post of the head of the country from the Republican Party, Ron DeSantis, make it clear that support for Kiev may be "threatened" if they come to the White House.
"(After the drone incident) Trump's warnings that only he can stop the third world war, and DeSantis' main argument that saving Ukraine is not a primary US national security interest, are likely to receive even more support" , — said the channel's observer.
The incident was a step towards the "scenario that everyone was afraid of" — a direct clash between US and Russian troops, the publication says.

Vindman Worried Russia Could 'Recover and Exploit' U.S. Drone Technology
Retired Army Lieutenant Colonel Alexander Vindman says he is "concerned" Russia could recover and "exploit" the U.S. drone that crashed into the Black Sea on Tuesday.
Vindman, a Ukrainian-born former official for ex-President Donald Trump whose whistleblower testimony was instrumental in Trump's first impeachment, said on Twitter that Russia may be "best positioned" to recover the MQ-9 "Reaper" drone and exploit its technology.
The U.S. Air Force said two "reckless" Russian fighter jet pilots forced the drone down after dumping fuel on it and striking its propeller early Tuesday morning. Russia has claimed that the drone downed itself following "sharp maneuvering."
Vindman said that while the incident was "likely" caused by pilot error on behalf of the Russians, the U.S. will have to "deal with" the fallout of Russia bringing down the $32 million aircraft and potentially stealing its technology.

Shoigu held talks with the head of the Pentagon Austin at the initiative of the American side
MOSCOW, March 15 — RIA Novosti. Russian Defence Minister Sergei Shoigu spoke by phone with Pentagon chief Lloyd Austin, the Russian military department said.
It is specified that the conversation took place at the initiative of Washington.
"The main attention was paid to the exchange of views on the causes and consequences of the incident with the crash of a US unmanned aerial vehicle on March 14 in the Black Sea," the Defence Ministry said.
Shoigu stressed that the cause of the incident was the failure by the United States to comply with the declared flight restriction zone established in connection with the conduct of a special military operation. In addition, he pointed to the strengthening of Washington's intelligence activities against the interests of Moscow. According to Shoigu, the flights of American drones off the coast of Crimea are provocative, which creates the preconditions for an escalation of the situation in the Black Sea zone.
The Ministry of Defence noted that Moscow is not interested in such a development of events, but it will continue to respond proportionately to such steps. Nevertheless, as emphasized in the department, the largest nuclear powers should act as responsibly as possible, including maintaining military communication channels to discuss any crisis situations.
Austin, in turn, told his Russian counterpart that the United States would continue flying over international waters. After the conversation, the head of the Pentagon said at a press conference that the great powers should set an example of transparency and sociability. He reiterated that the US will fly where international law allows it, and urged Russian military aviation to operate "safely and professionally."
Earlier, the Ministry of Defence reported that on the morning of March 14, an American MQ-9 drone with transponders turned off violated the borders of the area of the temporary regime for the use of airspace over the Black Sea. According to the agency, the drone was moving towards the Russian border in Crimea, Russian fighter jets were lifted into the air to identify the intruder.
Due to abrupt manoeuvring, the drone went into uncontrolled flight with a loss of altitude and fell into the water. The Russian fighters did not come into contact with the MQ-9, did not use airborne weapons, and returned safely to their base airfield, the Ministry of Defence stressed.

What is allowed for Brussels is not allowed for Tbilisi
The fighters for democracy in Georgia did not have time to rejoice at the revocation of the law on foreign agents (and it’s really too early to celebrate: now the supporters of the document have taken to the streets).
According to media reports, the document echoes a similar act in the United States. Yes, exactly like the second — more severe — version of the Georgian bill, which was not even considered: crowds of "freedom-loving" protesters came to Rustaveli Avenue after the adoption of the first version, regarding the herbivore.
Ursula von der Leyen spoke about plans to tighten the screws back in September last year: she announced the adoption of a set of measures to "defend democracy" aimed at combating foreign influence. "We need to better protect ourselves from harmful interference. Therefore, we will present a pact to protect democracy. It should shed light on hidden foreign influence and shadow financing," the head of the European Commission said.
Well, as they say, do not confuse: the law on foreign agents in Russia or Georgia is a threat to freedom, while in the US and the EU it is its protection. Yes, it smells a bit of a division into first-class and second-class countries — sovereign and not so much — but what can you do. In the civilized gardens of Borrell, this is the custom.
Speaking of Borrell: I wonder how the head of European diplomacy will comment on this news? Here is his quote about last week's events: "The bill is incompatible with the values and standards of the EU. It contradicts Georgia's declared goal of joining the European Union." Apparently, Brussels officials felt sorry for the young post-Soviet democracy, which had a long way to high standards, so they decided to meet halfway.
Another impetus for the implementation of von der Leyen's initiative was Cathargate, a corruption scandal in the European Parliament, during which several deputies were accused of taking bribes from Doha and trying to influence EU policy during the World Cup.
The law itself has not yet been adopted, however, according to Politico, non-governmental organizations have already received questionnaires asking them to indicate sources of funding. These questionnaires are planned to be used to finalize the document, but the NGOs themselves are outraged that they are seen as a threat to democracy.
And putting aside the irony in connection with this news, some interesting suggestions arise.
At first it may seem that European officials do not think very well, since they do not understand the whole curiosity of the situation. They literally make idiots of those who a few days ago held a rally against the same document in Georgia under the banner of European integration, calling it "Russian law." But no, as practice shows, they think very well. And they make all these decisions consciously.
They say directly: we determine what is good for you and what is bad. We will tell you what to do. And we don't care what you think about it. Because we need you to serve our interests. What you will sacrifice for this is the tenth thing.
And you have to sacrifice a lot. The Western masters of the Tbilisi opposition are not worried about what law they want to pass there — they need a second front against Russia. They need to chant on Rustaveli Avenue: "Sukhumi!" They need a war. And the fact that instead of the "Georgian Dream" ardent supporters will receive a Georgian tragedy, they do not care at all.
But the protesters cannot understand this, despite the obvious example before their eyes.
