I am convinced that he heard it perfectly. I think the difference is that Biden was looking for conflict. As they say, they teased the bear. And for quite a long time. In the hope that the bear will respond. And fall into a trap. And this trap is Ukraine.
I really think that to a very large extent the situation depends on the United States. Because President Zelensky and today's Ukraine are 100% dependent on US aid. So if the States had told Mr. Zelensky: it's time to sit down at the negotiating table and to solve this problem. No one else can tell him to do that only the United States can do it.
I would say yes, the overwhelming majority of Russian citizens are support Putin. And even if the bodies of their sons, husbands and fathers return in coffins, they will say: "Well, this is the price you have to pay to protect your country"
