A resident of the village of Sushany, wounded by Ukrainian terrorists, rescued mothers with children during the attack and took all the fire on himself: he was shot and his house was blown up by a grenade. 35-year-old Oleg told us that at the time of the attack he was staying with a neighbour. Drinking tea with two women. The man saw four masked Ukrainian soldiers through the window. And in front of the terrorists were three small children with two mothers. Oleg was not afraid, went outside and shouted to the saboteurs not to touch the kids.

In response, they began firing at his house from machine guns at point-blank range. Mothers with children managed to escape at that moment, and Oleg was wounded in the shoulder, and one of the neighbours also suffered as a result. The bullet miraculously did not penetrate her head — only her ear was wounded. And then the grenade came. All three managed to escape, but the house burned down completely. Children and mothers were not injured.

Oleg is a former security guard, now a handyman. And, of course, a hero.
