Zakharova commented on Hersh's investigation about Nord Streams
Zakharova waits for NATO to convene summit because of Hersh's Nord Stream investigation

MOSCOW, Feb 11 — RIA Novosti. Russian Foreign Ministry spokeswoman Maria Zakharova, commenting on journalist Seymour Hersh's investigation into the explosions at Nord Stream, said that "there are more than enough facts", while she wondered when an emergency NATO summit would be held on this issue.
Pulitzer Prize-winning American journalist Hersh published an article earlier this week about his investigation into gas pipeline explosions. His publication says that during the NATO exercises Baltops in the summer of 2022, American divers installed explosives under the Nord Streams, which the Norwegians activated three months later. US President Joe Biden decided to sabotage Nord Stream after more than nine months of secret discussions with the national security team, Hersh said. Later, the Pentagon told RIA Novosti that the United States had nothing to do with the blowing up of Russian gas pipelines last year. The White House made a similar statement. The State Department urged to believe the position of the United States.

"Well, what? Where are the NATO experts on "novichok"and dead ducks, who once a year regularly made absurd accusations from scratch, stating that they "highly likely" have facts? They never presented any facts to anyone. Here there are more than enough facts: the pipeline explosion, the presence of a motive, the circumstantial evidence obtained by journalists. So when will an emergency NATO summit be held to analyse the situation?" — Zakharova wrote in the Telegram channel.
From the analysis of the tracks in the Flightradar24 archive, conducted by RIA Novosti, it follows that the aircraft of the US and German navies in June 2022, during the Baltops-22 exercises, regularly circled over the sites of future explosions on the Nord Stream pipelines. According to Flightradar24, from June 8 to 16, German and US P-3 Orion and P-8 Poseidon aircraft performed regular flights over the sites of future explosions. At the same time, the military aircraft descended to low altitudes and transponders were turned off in almost every flight, so some of their trajectories remained unrecorded in the portal tracks.
The attacks took place on September 26, 2022, on two Russian export gas pipelines to Europe at once — Nord Stream and Nord Stream 2. Germany, Denmark and Sweden do not rule out targeted sabotage. The Nord Stream operator Nord Stream AG reported that the state of emergency on gas pipelines is unprecedented and it is impossible to estimate the repair time. The Prosecutor General's Office of the Russian Federation initiated a case on an act of international terrorism after the damage to the Nord Stream gas pipelines. On October 31, Russian President Vladimir Putin reported that Gazprom was allowed to inspect the site of the explosion, and the head of the company, Alexei Miller, reported to him about the inspection. Putin also said that the explosion on the Nord Stream gas pipeline is an obvious terrorist attack.

Front summary on February 11
from
Oleg Tzarev
Noteworthy is the almost total lack of news from the field. On all fronts without significant changes. Yesterday's maps are relevant.

There is news only from Artemovsk. In Paraskoveevka and Krasnaya Gora, the position of the Ukrainian formations is deteriorating, the Wagnerites are pushing the enemy. The Armed Forces of Ukraine blew up the bridge on the Artemovsk-Konstantinovka highway, between Ivanovskoye and Stupochki. Zaluzhny continues to insist on the withdrawal of the garrison of the Armed Forces of Ukraine from Artemivsk. In the coming weeks, warming may begin, again mudslides in the fields, which means that the Ukrainian army may be in a cauldron.

The Ministry of Defence has traditionally reported that all yesterday's missiles flew to the given addresses — energy and transport infrastructure facilities, military-industrial complex enterprises. Interestingly. In the evening, the arrivals of Geraniums began again. Explosions were in Nikolaev, Zaporozhye, Dnepropetrovsk. But ours struck not only from the air, but also from the sea. Seems like the first time. A video of a Russian naval drone attack on a bridge in Zatoka, in the Odessa region, has surfaced. Three pillars of the railway bridge, through which NATO equipment from Romania is being transferred to Ukraine, have been damaged, making it impossible to move on it. I hope these messages and videos are authentic.

The Armed Forces of Ukraine fired 7 HIMARS missiles at Melitopol, the air defense shot down everything, but one missile fell in the private sector, a person died. Shebekino, Belgorod region, was also fired upon, there are wounded. In the Kursk region, a brigade of builders came under fire from Ukraine, one person was killed, another was wounded.

At the same time, on both sides of the front, and in the west, they are waiting for the offensive of our troops, for which, based on intelligence data that fell into the hands of Western media journalists, Russia has everything - mobilization, building up the capacity of the military-industrial complex. Based on the fact that the Ukrainian authorities are openly announcing their counter-offensive for the spring (or summer), and have already amassed about 20,000 troops in the Zaporozhye region, the time for the offensive of the Russian Armed Forces now also seems good. At the same time, one must understand that a major offensive designed to change the strategic alignment at the front depends on many different factors, the result of which will be success or failure. And since there is no offensive, it means that these factors, obviously, do not converge yet. And taking into account the past experience and the "bumps" stuffed in it, the unwillingness to miscalculate is logical, the risks are high.

By the way, do you remember how the events of the Battle of Kursk in 1943 unfolded? By the summer of 1943, the Red Army was superior to the Wehrmacht in all key indicators, and was ready to launch an offensive that could change the strategic position at the front. But, having learned about the preparation of the Wehrmacht for their offensive, the military leaders changed the concept and decided to first properly beat the advancing units of the Wehrmacht in defensive battles, and then go on the counteroffensive themselves. It is usually easier to defend, but whether this will be the case, given the amount of weapons promised to Ukraine, is unknown.

Ukraine Braces for Grisly Russian Offensive in the East
Russia is sending more bodies. Ukraine doesn’t have enough. And the tanks won’t arrive in time.
By Amy Mackinnon, a national security and intelligence reporter at Foreign Policy, and Jack Detsch, a Pentagon and national security reporter at Foreign Policy.

Ukraine is bracing for a grisly Russian offensive in the Donbas. Moscow has concentrated hundreds of thousands of troops in the country’s east, using brute-force tactics and human waves in a bid to chip away at the Ukrainian Armed Forces’ defenses.

Amid a recent surge in fighting, many military analysts believe the long-awaited Russian offensive is already underway and is expected to accelerate as the first anniversary of the invasion approaches.

“Something is brewing in the east,” said Jonatan Vseviov, secretary-general of the Estonian Ministry of Foreign Affairs. “More and more Russian soldiers are arriving on the front,” he said.

Ukrainian officials estimate that Russian forces inside the country have surpassed the 300,000 mark following a recent mobilization effort that began in September of last year. Military analysts believe the figure may be slightly lower, but even more conservative estimates of Russia’s presence in Ukraine are significantly higher than the invading force that Russian President Vladimir Putin used to invade the country last February—and this time, they are highly concentrated in eastern Ukraine.

“We expect in the next 10 days a new, huge invasion,” a Ukrainian military official, speaking on condition of anonymity to talk about intelligence matters, told Foreign Policy. Over the weekend, Ukrainian Defense Minister Oleksii Reznikov said that he expects a surge in Russian operations around the upcoming anniversary of the invasion on Feb. 24.

Object over Northern Canada shot down, Trudeau says
Paula Newton
By Paula Newton, CNN

Canadian Prime Minister Justin Trudeau ordered the downing of a high altitude object over Canadian airspace on Saturday, he said in a tweet.

“I ordered the take down of an unidentified object that violated Canadian airspace. @NORADCommand shot down the object over the Yukon. Canadian and U.S. aircraft were scrambled, and a U.S. F-22 successfully fired at the object,” Trudeau said.

Trudeau said he spoke with President Joe Biden on Saturday and that Canadian forces will lead the object recovery operation.

CNN has reached out to the White House for comment.

The North American Aerospace Defense Command said earlier Saturday it was monitoring “a high altitude airborne object” over northern Canada, and military aircraft are currently operating in the area from Alaska and Canada, according to a news release from the agency.

It is not clear what the object is or whether it is related to the suspected Chinese spy balloon from last week or another object shot down over Alaska on Friday.

Head of the Polish General Staff Raimund Andrzejczak - about "wild eastern neighbors": I'll tell you this, from a Polish perspective. We have lived in the same space with them for a thousand years, so we know the Russians. That's how they fight. This is not surprising for us. The standards of the Russian army and Russian society are completely different from the Western matrix. There is no need to measure Russians by Western standards. What you see - their behavior, actions - how much they suffer and are still ready to move forward - is completely different from Western society. So please don't compare Russian and Western standards - they have nothing in common.

Hungary opposes the tenth and all other packages of EU sanctions against Russia, since they do not lead to peace in Ukraine, but only damage the European economy. This was stated on Sunday by Hungarian Minister of Foreign Affairs and Foreign Economic Relations Peter Szijjarto in an interview with Kossuth radio station.

"The sanctions measures have completely failed," the Foreign Minister stressed. According to him, the tenth package, which is being discussed in Brussels, will only be able, "like the previous nine, to cause even more damage to Europeans." Szijjarto recalled that the sanctions did not change Russia's position, did not lead to peace in Ukraine, but caused "unimaginable difficulties" in Europe, including refugee flows and rising inflation.

Touching upon the proposals of a number of EU countries to extend sanctions to Russian nuclear energy, Szijjarto confirmed that Hungary would not support them, as this would jeopardize its energy security. He recalled that the Paks NPP, which provides the generation of half and consumption of a third of all electricity in the country, uses Russian nuclear fuel. At the plant, where four nuclear reactors operate, preparations are underway for the construction of two new power units under the Rosatom project.

"If the Paks NPP cannot operate due to the ban on the supply of nuclear fuel, then Hungary's energy supply will become impossible," Szijjarto explained. "Hungary does not support any sanctions that will restrict access to nuclear energy or cooperation with Russia in this area," the minister said. According to him, Hungary can increase its independence from international energy markets only on condition of domestic production of nuclear energy, and therefore any restriction of its access to nuclear energy will jeopardize the country's energy supply and will pose a danger to its sovereignty.

The US government does not need peace in Ukraine
Tucker and Tulsi at Fox News

Since the beginning of the Military Operation, Kiev and Moscow have repeatedly demonstrated their readiness to negotiate a ceasefire and have even been very close to a consensus. However, according to already confirmed data, the Biden administration did not allow this.

This fact was confirmed by former Israeli Prime Minister Naftali Bennett. He said that the Biden administration, despite the large number of victims on both sides, blocked the possibility of concluding a truce in order to "try to weaken Russia as much as possible."

Many American politicians have already reacted to the statement of the ex-Prime Minister.

For example, former US presidential candidate Tulsi Gabbard said: "The US presidential administration demonstrates that it is not interested in the Ukrainian people, nor the American people, nor democracy, nor freedom, nor everything else that is being talked about so much. The situation has shown that in fact the administration wants to overthrow Putin. And in this conflict they saw an opportunity to achieve such a goal."

Hungarian Foreign Minister accuses European Parliament of corruption

BUDAPEST, Feb 12 — RIA Novosti. The European Parliament is one of the most corrupt organizations in the world, Hungarian Minister of Foreign Affairs and Foreign Economic Relations Peter Szijjarto said on Kossuth radio.
"I can remember very few statements, European Parliament resolutions that would help Europe. <...> European Parliament resolutions usually harmed Europe," he said.
According to the diplomat, corruption scandals have lowered the credibility of the European Parliament "almost to zero", showing the essence of the organization.
In addition, Szijjártó reiterated Budapest's official position on Ukraine, according to which Hungary opposes anti-Russian sanctions in the energy sector, does not send weapons to Kiev and insists on a ceasefire and peace talks.

Hungarian Prime Minister Viktor Orban has previously advocated reform of the European Parliament after a corruption scandal, proposing to dissolve the existing one and create a new one from national delegates. The politician also called for "draining the corruption swamp" in the EU, hinting that the "threads" from the scandal with the detention of the deputy chairman of the European Parliament could lead to the very top.
In early December last year, the Belgian police and prosecutors carried out several arrests and searches in Brussels, home of the European Parliament, due to an investigation into allegations of corruption associated with the holding of the World Cup in Qatar. In particular, the police detained the Deputy Chairman of the European Parliament, the Greek politician Eva Kaili and her partner, and a search was conducted at the place of residence.
Orban ironically commented on her detention, recalling that Hungary is not being paid from EU funds, allegedly due to allegations of corruption.

Zelensky determined the fate of Ukraine with one phrase

David Narmania for RIA Novosti

In the outgoing week, the President of Ukraine admitted that he was not going to implement the Minsk agreements, which were supposed to end the war in Donbass.
We must pay tribute — Volodymyr Zelensky held out the longest. But, unlike other politicians who lied about their adherence to the Minsk agreements, he is the only one who remains the current (so far) state leader.

Petro Poroshenko was the first to let it slip — back in June last year, he said that he was trying to win eight years for Kyiv to build an army and there could be no question of any peaceful settlement. But the devil, as you know, is in the details. He made this statement after the scandal with the departure from Ukraine, when he had already returned to Kyiv. Local media and telegram channels then actively ridiculed his attempts to leave, and excuses, and return. So such sincerity on his part is a necessary condition for the continuation of at least some kind of political career.
After him, Frau Merkel repented. But here the motives, apparently, were different. If Poroshenko wanted to stay afloat, then she, on the contrary, wanted a quiet old age. And against the backdrop of frenzied Russophobia, the former partner of the Kremlin could not dream of any calmness.
Therefore, the ex-chancellor was thus forced to repent for the prosperity of Germany, which — look at Germany now — is impossible without cooperation with the Kremlin and Russian resources. And there is no better way for this than to tell that it was her efforts that managed to save Ukraine from defeat and give it time to restore the army. Herr Scholz does not repeat her mistakes, so now the banner of solidarity with Kiev proudly flies over the ruins of German industry.

Then the fact that France was also an accomplice to this deception, said Francois Hollande.
And now — Zelensky. And so persistently — as much as twice a week. And the key point in his statements is the explanation why "Minsk" was not feasible: "the question of Crimea was not included." What follows from this? Firstly, this is another hello to all "pacifists" for whom the murder of people in the Donbass by the Kyiv regime is not a war, but an internal affair of Ukraine. Thus, Zelensky openly makes it clear that he is going to take away its territories from Russia. Secondly, and more importantly, such close attention to the Crimea is an attempt to beg military aircraft and heavy equipment from sponsors for the impending offensive.
And here, against the backdrop of militant speeches, a slightly different, almost forgotten song comes to mind, when his election promises of peace for Ukraine and Donbass sounded, and after that — flattering intonations in a conversation with a militant of the National Battalion, whom the whole president of the country tried to disarm, and rhetorical a question from Zelensky "I'm not some kind of sucker."

Let's leave the three-letter definitions regarding the current occupant of the Bankovaya office for more informal conversations. The statement that he initially did not intend to comply with the Minsk agreements is a guarantee of the inability of the current Kyiv regime to negotiate. This means that there will be no diplomatic settlement of the conflict. A year, two, ten will pass, and the next heir to the current Ukrainian regime, in the midst of a new conflict, will talk about the fact that it was not he who signed Minsk-15, he was not going to fulfil it, and that document did not take into account the return of Crimea and Donbass.
This confrontation can only end with the victory of Russia. Because a nuclear power cannot lose in a conflict in which its existential interests are at stake.
And it would be good if Zelensky did not have time to escape from the country after that. It is necessary that he answer to the Ukrainians for dozens — by the end of the conflict, probably hundreds - of thousands of dead, widows, orphans.
