With the Ukraine war heading toward a second year, NATO "needs to be prepared for the long haul" because it sees no sign that Russian President Vladimir Putin "is preparing for peace," Stoltenberg said.
He said that NATO needs to maintain its support for Ukraine after providing "an unprecedented level of support."
"This support is making a difference on the battleground every day," Stoltenberg said.
"If we want a negotiated, peaceful solution to the peace and to the conflict in Ukraine, where Ukraine prevails as a sovereign independent nation, then we need to provide military support," he said. "Weapons delivered today can create the conditions for a peaceful settlement tomorrow."
