US Treasury: Russian oil price ceiling will start at $60 and may be revised

The price limit for oil from Russia will start at $60 per barrel, Deputy Treasury Secretary Wally Adeyemo said at the Reuters NEXT online conference.
"We start at 60 (dollars per barrel) and have the ability to move the price ceiling to limit Russia's revenues over time," he said.

According to Adeyemo, the revision of the price level will be carried out "from time to time". He also stressed that Washington, together with its allies, will have time to launch a mechanism to limit the cost of energy resources before December 5.
The finance ministers of the G7 countries (Great Britain, Germany, Italy, Canada, the USA, France and Japan) in September confirmed their intention to impose price restrictions on supplies from Russia.
