Washington’s Carthaginian Peace Collides With Reality
The Biden administration refuses to tell the American people the truth: Ukraine is not winning and will not win this war.

The national political and military leaders who committed America to wars of choice in Vietnam, the Balkans, Afghanistan, and Iraq, did so as a rule because they were convinced the fighting would be short and decisive. American presidents, presidential advisors, and senior military leaders never stopped to consider that national strategy, if it exists at all, consists of avoiding conflict unless the nation is attacked and compelled to fight.

The latest victim of this mentality is Ukraine. In the absence of a critical root-and-branch analysis of Russia’s national power and strategic interests, American senior military leaders and their political bosses viewed Russia through a narrowly focused lens that magnified U.S. and Ukrainian strengths but ignored Russia’s strategic advantages — geographic depth, almost limitless natural resources, high social cohesion, and the military-industrial capacity to rapidly scale up its military power.

Ukraine is now a war zone subject to the same treatment the U.S. armed forces inflicted on Germany and Japan during the Second World War, on Vietnam in the 1960s, and on Iraq over decades. Power grids, transportation networks, communications infrastructure, fuel production, and ammunition storage sites are being systematically destroyed. Millions of Ukrainians continue to flee the war zone in pursuit of safety, with ominous consequences for Europe’s societies and economies.

Meanwhile, the Biden administration repeatedly commits the unpardonable sin in a democratic society of refusing to tell the American people the truth: contrary to the Western media’s popular “Ukrainian victory” narrative, which blocks any information that contradicts it, Ukraine is not winning and will not win this war. Months of heavy Ukrainian casualties, resulting from an endless series of pointless attacks against Russian defenses in Southern Ukraine, have dangerously weakened Ukrainian forces.

🎤 In a speech today, European Commission President Ursula von der Leyen said that the AFU has lost 100,000 men irrevocably since February. According to her, 20 thousand civilians were also killed in the fighting.

The European politician's statements sparked a storm of discussions in the Ukrainian and Western segments. It even got to the point that the organization's official Twitter account deleted the original video and replaced it with another one, in which the uncomfortable fragment was simply cut out. The European Commission later said that von der Leyen had implied total casualties, taking into account the wounded.

♦️ As strange as it may sound, in this particular case it is not even that important how many exactly were killed in the AFU in 10 months.

The figure of several tens of thousands of killed members of Ukrainian formations today does not surprise even the skeptics, and the death of 100 thousand enemy fighters will not exhaust their mobilization potential and make it impossible to conduct combat operations. That is why there is actually no sensation in the remark of the head of the European Commission.

♦️ However, her statement is notable for its universality. After all, depending on the state of affairs, it is easy to use it as an information background for making a decision.

▪️ If there is a need to push for increased military supplies to Ukraine, it is possible to claim that it is due to the lack of modern Western weapon systems that the AFU has such huge losses in personnel.

▪️ If the West suddenly decides to take the path of freezing the conflict, exactly the same fact will be used to illustrate the inability of the Kiev authorities to continue combat operations.

🩸 Well, how many people Ukraine has actually lost on the battlefield is of little concern to the West: there, in principle, they are ready to fight at least to the last Ukrainian.

❗️🇷🇺🇺🇦 Highlights of Russian Military Operation in Ukraine on November 30, 2022

▪️Ukrainian formations have once again shelled the border Tetkino in Glushkovsky district of Kursk Region.

Two direct hits hit a residential buildings, no injuries or casualties.

▪️As a result of an attack by a Ukrainian UAV, a storage site for oil products caught fire in Surazh district of Bryansk region.

Suzemki border village was also shelled. Power lines were damaged.

▪️Ukrainian command continues to persistently attack Russian positions near Kuzemivka.

Another attempt once again ended in failure. Caught by artillery fire, the enemy retreated to its initial positions with losses.

▪️On Lysychans'k direction heavy fighting for Spirne continues.

LPR People's Militia and Wagner's PMC units continue to mop up the settlement, forcing Ukrainian forces out of their positions.

▪️In Kurdyumivka area Russian forces continue mopping up the territory along the canal suppressing AFU pockets of resistance.

At the same time, artillery strikes are carried out against command posts and deployment points of AFU in Toretsk.

▪️Ukrainian formations made several attempts to counterattack the positions of the Russian Armed Forces in Novomykhailivka.

The enemy came under artillery fire and retreated losing several armoured vehicles.

▪️In Mar'inka, Russian motorized riflemen continue fighting for key positions in the city centre.

AFU still hold the western side of Druzhba Avenue, supported by multi-storey buildings.
