Russian President Vladimir Putin ordered the demobilization of students from the DPR and LPR who were called up for military service before the regions were included in the Russian Federation, said Dmitry Peskov, head of the Kremlin press service.

“Currently, the forces of the people's militia are integrated into the Armed Forces of the Russian Federation after the entry of the DPR and LPR into Russia. Putin instructed to demobilize students and organize a return to the place of study," he said.

Recall that within the framework of partial mobilization, which was announced on September 21, students and graduate students of higher educational institutions were not subject to conscription into the armed forces.

A pensioner from Bataysk has been knitting socks with notes for fighters for three weeks

92-year-old Maria Belous from Bataysk woke up at 8 am for three weeks to knit warm socks for Russian soldiers. And in each pair, the pensioner put notes with wishes

“Three years ago I moved to my granddaughter in Bataysk,” the pensioner says. "We were lucky with the neighbours — both with the old-timers and with the youth. They often visit me, bring some goodies, well, and I, in turn, will definitely pass a couple of socks, because feet should always be warm."

The idea to give gifts to the fighters was suggested by a neighbour.

"Once Dasha came. We drank tea. And the guest suddenly asked: 'Maria Nikolaevna, kind people gave me five skeins of black yarn and an untied scarf, can you make socks out of them for the guys?' Well, how can you say no? She took the inventory and immediately set to work."

"Well, in three weeks I made five good pairs: four black ones and one pockmarked one. And it's still fast, usually it takes a week to knit one socks. And then I wanted to quickly give the boys a piece of the house. I think it's very important for them now!"

For all the time while knitting socks, the pensioner was almost never tired.

“Yes, the hands are not the same anymore, the eyes see poorly, but these are trifles compared to the feat our guys are doing,” she says. "I really want these socks to bring warmth not only to the body, but also to the soul. Therefore, I hid notes in each pair. I really want the guys there to feel our support and faith."

“It was in the evening, although the lamp shone, but the line is hard to see, that’s why the handwriting came out clumsy,” Baba Masha complains. "Well, I think the guys are young, big-eyed, they should understand my writings, because I tried to add something new to each note."

In them, a 92-year-old Donetsk woman told how, as a young girl, she faced the hardships of the Great Patriotic War, how she raised two younger sisters, hid from the bombings and believed that one day the world would finally come into our homes.

“It seems to me that the best wish is that each of them return home alive and healthy,” Baba Masha smiles.
