Britain handed over underwater drones to Ukraine, Russian Foreign Ministry says
The Russian Foreign Ministry announced the existence of the evidence on the transfer of submarine UAVs by Britain to Ukraine
MOSCOW, November 3 - RIA Novosti. The UK handed over to Ukraine underwater unmanned vehicles, with the help of which Kyiv could carry out a terrorist attack against the ships of the Black Sea Fleet, the Foreign Ministry said.
British Ambassador Deborah Bronnert was summoned to Smolenskaya Square on Thursday, she was strongly protested about the active participation of London in the training of Ukrainian special operations forces. The Foreign Ministry gave concrete examples of such cooperation.
So, in September 2020, London and Kyiv agreed to expand the training program by British instructors for Ukrainian military divers.
"At the end of 2020, the parties began implementing the program to counter threats in the Black Sea, the Naval Training Initiative of the Ukrainian Navy, which includes training courses for combat swimmers," the message says.
Underwater saboteurs, in particular, are trained on the basis of a separate special operations center "South" named after. Ataman A. Golovaty in Ochakovo. In Odessa, on the basis of the school of military divers, specialists are trained in the course "special purpose diver" with the development of deep-sea subversive skills.
"On the coast and in the waters of the Black Sea near the cities of Odessa, Nikolaev and Ochakov, with the participation of British specialists, units of the Ukrainian Navy carried out diving descents, including a training demolition of the object," the Foreign Ministry said.
In August and September, on Pervomaisky Island in the waters of the Dnieper estuary, three kilometres south of Ochakov, about 15 British instructors taught the Armed Forces of Ukraine how to operate unmanned underwater vehicles designed to destroy ships.
On the morning of October 29, the Kyiv regime carried out a terrorist attack on ships of the Black Sea Fleet and civilian ships that were on the outer and inner roads of the base in Sevastopol.

Will Biden Gamble on a Ukraine Coalition?
The Washington establishment is considering a risky and ill-defined intervention in Europe.
by Douglas Macgregor for the American Conservative
Douglas Macgregor, Col. (ret.) is a senior fellow with The American Conservative, the former advisor to the Secretary of Defense in the Trump administration, a decorated combat veteran, and the author of five books.
When Napoleon Bonaparte began his 1812 campaign to conquer Russia, he led the largest “coalition of the willing” in history. In addition to its French core, Bonaparte’s army of more than 400,000 consisted of Italian, Dutch, German, and Polish soldiers. They were at best unenthusiastic. Frankly, other than the French, only Napoleon’s Polish allies were truly eager to march on Moscow.
By the time Bonaparte’s multinational force reached Moscow, paralyzing cold, ruinous battles, exhaustion, disease, and poor logistical planning reduced the original invasion force to less than half of its original strength. It was not long before Prussia and its North German allies defected to the Russians while the remainder (minus the Poles) deserted or died on the march home.
...
Military strategy is about the relationship of means to ends. National political and military leaders are preoccupied with means and think too little about ends. It is not enough to be a good technician, today’s political and military leaders must be serious strategists, acutely sensitive to the limits which America’s strengths and weaknesses impose on strategic choices.
The cost to Americans and Europeans of escalating the conflict should not be underestimated. The president and his generals must appreciate how injurious military failure would be to an American society already weakened by 20 years of self-defeating deployments to Iraq and Afghanistan. American military morale is at a low point. Recruiting for the U.S. Armed Forces, especially the ground forces, is harder than at any time since the 1970s. American economic performance is fragile. Europe’s economic outlook is bleaker still.
In his fight with Russia, Bonaparte not only badly misjudged his opponent, but he also grossly misjudged his allies. President Biden and his generals should not make the same mistakes in Ukraine.

The Kremlin explained the situation with the resumption of participation in the “grain deal”
03.11.2022 - 14:35
Russia's decision to resume participation in the "grain deal" does not mean that Moscow is ready to extend it. This was stated today by the press secretary of the President of the Russian Federation Dmitry Peskov.
“The decision of the Russian Federation to resume participation in the “grain deal” does not mean that Moscow is ready to extend it. Before the extension of the grain deal, the Russian Federation will have to evaluate the effectiveness of its implementation,” he said.
To this, Peskov added that the term of the existing agreements has not yet expired.
He also stressed that Turkey's participation in the resumption of Russia's participation is the main factor of confidence in the agreements.
In addition, the presidential press secretary said that the implementation of the agreements regarding the supply of Russian food and fertilizers is not connected with Russia's return to the "grain deal".
Peskov explained that the second part of the deal is not directly related to Ukraine, but mainly concerns those countries that have imposed sanctions on the relevant sectors of the Russian economy.
#TransFormatorBuzzes : 💤
Turkey and Russia agreed here strictly among themselves. And there is no Ukraine in this deal at all. It was done for a "dear friend" Erdoğan... (very dear)😏
Against the backdrop of the confrontation between the united West and Russia, Turkey has not only become an influential geopolitical player in a matter of years. Today, Turkey is a gas hub to Europe. And a grain hub from Ukraine. All this in the context of peak energy prices and food shortages.
To help Turkey become a grain and gas hub, many Russian firms have opened their offices here, the number of which in the eight months of 2022 has quadrupled compared to last year.😏
It is clear that this is not only about grain and gas, although export earnings from them are critically important for us. We are still under the pressure of an unthinkable number of sanctions in recent history. Our economy, which has been merging with the European one for decades, is not easy to resist them. It is unlikely that we will be told what new conditions Turkey has entered into with respect to Russia in the grain deal after its violation by Ukraine: geopolitics is such a thing.
But the Russian authorities absolutely have no illusions about the promises of Ukraine and reconciliation with the West on its terms, and cannot be.
Suffice it to recall December 2014, when Putin said: “Sometimes the thought comes: maybe our bear needs to sit quietly, not drive piglets through the taiga, but eat berries and honey. Maybe they would leave him alone? No, they wouldn't, because they would always strive to put him on a chain.”

Swiss again reject German request to re-export Swiss ammunition to Ukraine
ZURICH, Nov 3 (Reuters) - Switzerland has again rejected an appeal from Germany to allow it to re-export Swiss-made ammunition to Ukraine, the government said on Thursday, saying such a move would violate Swiss neutrality.
German Defence Minister Christine Lambrecht had written to the government in Bern last month asking for permission to supply 12,400 rounds of Swiss-made ammunition for Gepard anti-aircraft tanks that Berlin has already supplied to Ukraine to help in its war with Russia.
But Swiss Economy Minister Guy Parmelin gave the same response the Swiss government had given in June when it rejected an earlier request.
"Under the principle of equal treatment in neutrality law, Switzerland cannot agree to a request for the transfer of war materiel of Swiss origin to Ukraine as long as the latter is involved in an international armed conflict," the government said.
"As the legal situation remains unchanged, approval of a transfer of Swiss war materiel by Germany to Ukraine is still not possible," it added.
The 35mm shells were originally supplied by Swiss companies to the German army decades ago on the condition that it could not re-export the munitions without Swiss approval.

Vladimir Putin had a telephone conversation with President of the Republic of Indonesia Joko Widodo
🔸The two presidents discussed the agenda of the G20 summit scheduled to be held in Bali on November 15–16. The President of Russia spoke highly of the constructive and depoliticised work of the G20 Presidency of Indonesia on current topics such as stronger energy and food security, sustainable energy transition, digital transformation of the global economy, and the improvement of healthcare architecture. The sides noted he consistent personal efforts of Joko Widodo to promote a unifying agenda of the G20.
🔸Speaking about global food security, Vladimir Putin put forth Russia’s fundamental approach to the implementation of the Istanbul package deal on Ukrainian grain exports from Black Sea ports and the unblocking of Russian agricultural and fertiliser exports to global markets. He updated the Indonesian President on the situation that developed after the Kiev regime used the maritime humanitarian corridor for a subversive attack against the infrastructure and ships of the Black Sea Fleet in Sevastopol, as well as Russia’s decision to resume the implementation of the grain initiative now that Ukraine has guaranteed the non-use of the humanitarian route for military purposes.
🔸It was noted that Russia was ready to ship considerable amounts of grain to the poorest countries free of charge as humanitarian aid. Joko Widodo supported this approach.
🔸Following up on the agreement reached during the Indonesian President’s visit to Russia in June 2022, the two leaders discussed several current issues of the successfully developing bilateral cooperation. They also reaffirmed their resolve to continue building up mutually beneficial ties in various fields.
The conversation took place at the initiative of the Indonesian side.

Q : Do you believe that the fighting in Ukraine will escalate into a full scale war? If so do you believe NATO/America will escalate the conflict? Do you believe nuclear warfare may yet again come about on the earth?
Well, my dear subscriber, I believe the war has already been escalated.
If we are to believe the Russian commander in chief, then Zelensky had two times to negotiate : the first was the apparent withdraw and retreat from the Kiev suburbs and the Belarusian front, but the deal was apparently sabotaged by Boris Johnson, the former prime minister of Britain, mind you, the military objectives of the Northen front was achieved.
The second attempt, apparently, was in Istanbul regarding the Kherson/Donbass line of contact, the EU and America, represented again in Boris Johnson, sabotaged the deal, again.
I am not a military expert, but it is clear that the attitude of the political leadership of Russia towards the "SMO" has changed quite considerably since February 24th in stages, indicated by the partial mobilization of the reserves, the strikes on dual-use infrastructure and civilian power grids and dams, and so on.
Will NATO and America escalate it? if by escalation you mean the introduction of new aid, military intelligence, and more moves in the information sphere, then yes, what most people tend to forget is that the Global North, represented in America and Europe, categorically control most of the internet and its assets, and most of the advanced industries, while us, the Global South, were, for many decades and only starting now is that changing, were a consumer market/a field for raw materials.
And no, nuclear war, to put it bluntly, will never happen, the human race is not suicidal, every person knows that there is no way humanity will ever recover from a nuclear war, it will be a collapse, we will never return to space, and we may not even be able to return to the surface ever, because if you destroy not only the infrastructure to produce the tech-levels we have here, but the knowledge with it, and the logistics, we will simply never regain it, they know it and we know it.
Death, of course, is inevitable, but our purpose is to build the earth for our descendants and ensuring our legacy, and no one wants their legacy to be regulated to scavenger tribes, who will devolve into nothing more than apes, and then in the end, dust.

Exclusive: G7 coalition has agreed to set fixed price for Russian oil
WASHINGTON/LONDON, Nov 3 (Reuters) - The Group of Seven rich nations and Australia have agreed to set a fixed price when they finalize a price cap on Russian oil later this month, rather than adopting a floating rate, sources said on Thursday.
U.S. officials and G7 countries have been in intense negotiations in recent weeks over the unprecedented plan to put a price cap on sea-borne oil shipments, which is scheduled to take effect on Dec. 5 - to ensure EU and U.S. sanctions aimed at limiting Moscow's ability to fund its invasion of Ukraine do not throttle the global oil market.
“The Coalition has agreed the price cap will be a fixed price that will be reviewed regularly rather than a discount to an index," said a coalition source, who was not authorized to speak publicly. "This will increase market stability and simplify compliance to minimize the burden on market participants.”
The initial price itself has not been set, but should be in coming weeks, multiple sources said. Coalition partners agreed to regularly review the fixed price and revise it as needed, the source said, without disclosing further details.
Pegging the price as a discount to some index would have resulted in too much volatility and potential price swings, the source added.
The coalition worried that a floating price pegged below the Brent international benchmark might enable Russian President Vladimir Putin to game the mechanism by reducing supply, a second source with knowledge of the discussions said.
Putin could benefit from a floating price system because the price for his country's oil would also rise if Brent spiked due to a cut in oil from Russia, one of the world's largest petroleum producers. The downside of the agreed fixed price system is that it will require more meetings of the coalition and bureaucracy to review it regularly, the source said.
U.S. Treasury Secretary Janet Yellen and other G7 officials argue the price cap, set to begin Dec. 5 on crude and Feb. 5 on oil products, will squeeze funding to Russia without cutting supply to consumers. Russia has said it will refuse to ship oil to countries that set price caps.
Shipping services are eager to see more details about the G7 plan which is due to take effect in a month.
A steady price cap could enable insurers to more confidently roll over contracts and initiate new ones without fear that the price could be adjusted by the countries buying Russian oil, which could have potentially exposed insurers to sanctions.
No immediate comment was available from Treasury or the embassies of coalition members, which include the G7 rich nations, the European Union and Australia.

The mechanism of price restrictions, which the Americans and their allies intend to test on Russian oil, if the initiative is successful, could be extended to other goods of interest to the West, including gas and metals, Russian Ambassador to the United States Anatoly Antonov warned in an interview with the American National Interest.
“The Treasury Department’s recipe for saving face, the so-called “price cap” for Russian oil, is leading the world economy into even darker recesses of this kind of Knossos labyrinth. At the same time, Ariadne’s promised thread is our willingness to sell “black gold” to the loss is nothing but a myth from the very beginning. We will not provide for the well-being of others at our own expense," the diplomat wrote.
The ambassador recalled that Moscow would stop supplies to those countries that decide to apply a restrictive mechanism in an attempt to artificially restrain prices.
“Our message is clear: if this mechanism is nevertheless implemented, no one can guarantee that in the future someone will not try to extend the same scenario first to gas, then to metals and, ultimately, to any type of goods that will be of interest to Western capital," the source said.
