The exact cost is hard to determine because the S300 is a complete system comprising several missile Launcher unit vehicles, several #radar unit vehicles and several units carry extra missiles

Compare this to the cost of a #US-made #Javelin #AntiTank launcher and missile system which costs approx $150,000 for the launcher alone and a further $100,000 for each missile.

Those US-supplied Javelins were mostly used against older Russian #T72 #tanks, which cost approx $500,000, a relatively paltry sum in comparison to #S300 launcher units

The diplomat stressed that Western representatives made all these conclusions unilaterally, anticipating any conclusions of the Security Council and, in fact, replacing the decision of a key UN body with their biased national assessments.
“We regret that our Western colleagues actually sabotaged the negotiation process on the draft resolution. It became obvious that Western countries are simply afraid of creating a commission that will consider the relevant materials submitted by Russia and conduct an investigation on them, as provided for by the BTWC,” said the First Deputy Representative.

According to him, they are especially dissatisfied with the fact that this commission should have consisted of all members of the Security Council, "because they are trying to unilaterally make a decision for the entire international community."

"Other forms of international cooperation do not suit them, as they do not fit into the promoted concept of the so-called rules-based order, which they will determine themselves," he said.
