Following meeting with our subscribers I realised that for some of them, especially those who started following the events in Ukraine just recently, the most fundamental questions are still remaining unanswered. Most of the TG channels are naturally being focused on the latest developments and many important issues are being removed from the focus of the audience.
So I decided to spend some time and to answer those basic and fundamental questions.
Question number 1:
Why did "special military operation"/”war” start?
There is long term prospective to the cause of it. It is the fact that NATO was expanding to the East continuously during more than twenty years. Russia is considering this as an existential threat and has not once expressed its concerns which was ignored by the collective West.
In the medium term prospective it was important that Ukraine has made a course to join NATO its national policy. Even if it was not going to happen in the nearest few years, NATO was already developing its infrastructure in Ukraine, building training, intelligence, communication and logistics centres. Especially important here is to mention a network of biological labs studying bacteriological weapons that certainly have posed a threat not only to Russia.
In the short term prospective Ukraine has proved itself to be not negotiable partner, as the Minsk agreement on the future of the Donbas region was not implemented within 8 years, instead Ukrainian army and nationalistic regiments were continuing shelling not only Donbas militia, but civilian population as well, that resulted in death of about fourteen thousands people. It was documentary confirmed after the hostilities broke out, that Ukrainian army already had orders to attack Donetsk and Luhansk republics, which would have lead to enormous loss of life.
It made the pre-emptive strike from Russia inevitable. (That is a very simplistic explanation, and it is based primarily on my personal understanding, necessary proves of the statements above exist, but would take pages and hours to write/read)
Question number 2:
Why it takes so long?
That was a somewhat unexpected question, but it shows that the person who is asking it has a confidence in the military and economic superiority of Russia. Yes, it takes time to achieve all objectives of the Russian operation and it is, actually, "special military operation" not a full scale war. Russian army is using gradually increasing level of force. Because of that an American expert called the beginning of the operation "underwhelming". It is being done on purpose, to save lives of the population and troops, if they are ready to surrender. That principle is in a stark contrast with the actions of the Ukrainian forces and, especially, the nationalistic regiments, which are using civilians as a human shield (multiple examples and proves exists, but are usually disputed by the sides as a part of informational warfare). Also we should not underestimate the inflow of weapons, work of NATO instructors and building defence for eight years. Nevertheless the outcome may be only one, as Russian government and population see it not just as a local conflict, but as a part of global rivalry with NATO for the implementation of a multi-polar world.

Question number 3:
What will happen next?

https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=ecpRrep0twE According to Russian foreign minister Sergey Lavrov, the current situation in Ukraine is a direct result of the US and West's desire to rule and dominate the world.

In an exclusive interview with India Today, he said, "The current events are rooted in the US and West's desire to rule the world. They wanted to show the world there would be no multipolarity, only unipolarity, and created a springboard [Ukraine] against us [Russia] at our borders. They pumped arms into Ukraine."

He added, "The real reason [for the war] is the complacency of most countries after World War II. They violated their promises to Russian leadership and started moving Nato eastward after the Soviet Union disappeared. They said it’s a defensive alliance and not a threat to Russian security."

On February 24, Russian President Vladimir Putin announced a 'special military operation' in Ukraine. He said the military action sought to "demilitarise and denazify" Ukraine and came in response to threats from Ukraine. Since then, several people - including civilians - have been killed in Ukraine and millions of others have fled the nation. Correlates very well with what I have been previously writing: https://t.me/TrFormer/460 https://t.me/TrFormer/461 Please watch if you still have questions.

About 120 civilians have used the opportunity to leave the battle zone near "Azovstal" steel mill in Mariupol. Every chance to reduce the number of civilian casualties is being used by the Russian army.

When the main British press are writing articles saying who you are, you know you've arrived. When those articles are just collections of the nastiest things they can legally say about you, it means you've done something right. 😎

Russian marines are closing on "Azovstal" steelworks.
Only Russians will understand it in context, but I will try to deliver the message: "There is such a job - to talk to the bloody idiots" - on a sleeve of a Russian soldier.

🇱🇻 Study in Russian. A rally in defense of education in the native language is being held in Riga.

A rally in defense of education in Russian is taking place in Old Riga opposite the Latvian Ministry of Education.

What are parents protesting against?

The new project of the Ministry involves the complete translation of schools of national minorities and kindergartens into Latvian from September 1, 2023. This applies to both state institutions and private schools.
After that, Russian and literature will no longer be included in the main program — they are proposed to be conducted as an interest-based education.
According to the amendments, in case of insufficient use of the Latvian language in schools, Russian teachers and principals can be dismissed simply by the decision of the inspectors of the State Language Center.

Liaoning (16; Chinese: 辽宁舰; pinyin: Liáoníng Jiàn) is a Chinese Type 001 aircraft carrier. The first aircraft carrier commissioned into the People's Liberation Army Navy Surface Force, she was originally classified as a training ship, intended to allow the Navy to experiment, train and gain familiarity with aircraft carrier operations. Following upgrades and additional training in late 2018, Chinese state media announced that the ship would shift to a combat role in 2019.

Originally laid down in 1985 for the Soviet Navy as the Kuznetsov-class aircraft cruiser Riga, she was launched on 4 December 1988 and renamed Varyag in 1990. After the dissolution of the Soviet Union in 1991, construction was halted and the ship was put up for sale by Ukraine. The stripped hulk was purchased in 1998 and towed to the Dalian naval shipyard in northeast China.

The ship was rebuilt and commissioned into the People's Liberation Army Navy (PLAN) as Liaoning on 25 September 2012.
