Interruptions with light also arose in the Dnepropetrovsk, Zaporozhye and Odessa regions.

Apparently, after the strikes on Ukrainian energy infrastructure, a rolling blackout began.

Other footage of a major fire at one of the affected energy facilities in the Kharkiv region.

According to residents, the glow can be seen for kilometers from the burning object.

A total blackout is observed throughout Ukraine.

Kharkiv was the first to report a power outage after a powerful outbreak. Some sources report that the thermal power plant in Zmiev was hit, as well as the Kharkiv thermal power plant-5, which is the largest thermal power plant in Ukraine.
The head of the CAA of the Sumy region also reports a voltage drop throughout the region.
Similar statements about fluctuations in the supply of electricity come from near Kyiv, Kremenchug, Pavlograd, Poltava, Dnepropetrovsk regions.

Over the past few minutes, there have also been reports of water supply being cut off in several districts of Dnipropetrovsk, in the Poltava region, in the Kharkiv region.

Trains started to stop in Ukraine.

There is no electricity in at least 135 settlement in Sumy Oblast, leader of region says.

Informative page.
There were 15 TPPs in Ukraine in 2022. None of them was built under Ukraine. That is, since 1991, the number of thermal power plants built in Ukraine is 0.
All operating thermal power plants were built by "damned communists" from the 50s to the 80s.
That is, each destroyed thermal power plant is actually an irretrievable loss for Ukraine, just like the refinery. Ukrainian Nazis are only users of someone else's labor.

Attacks on the energy infrastructure of Ukraine: what is known at the moment

▪️At about 20:00, the Russian Armed Forces launched rocket attacks on the largest thermal power plants in eastern and central Ukraine:

Kharkovskaya CHPP-5 and Zmievskaya CHPP in Kharkiv region, Pavlogradskaya CHPP-3 in Dnepropetrovsk region,
Kremenchug CHPP in the Poltava region.

Launches were carried out from the waters of the Black and Caspian Seas.

▪️The surge and sudden energy shortage led to a lack of generating capacity. The transfer of additional capacities along the energy rings of 750 kV and 330 kV power lines did not lead to the elimination of problems in the network.

▪️Due to the drop in frequency at substations, protection began to work, first turning off large consumers, and then entire regions.

▪️The collapse of the power system has spread to the networks of Kharkiv, Sumy, Dnepropetrovsk, Zaporozhye and Odessa regions. It also affected the areas of Donetsk regions controlled by the Armed Forces of Ukraine, the Kyiv region and the capital of the country.

▪️Two Ukrainian nuclear power plants at once - Khmelnytsky and Yuzhnoukrainskaya - began shutting down their power units due to the inability to transfer the generated electricity to the grid.

▪️ The accident was localized by disconnecting the western and central regions of Ukraine from the eastern and southern ones. Electric trains stopped almost all over the country, in Poltava several trolleybuses caught fire right on the streets.

🔻The situation was complicated by the shutdown on the night of September 11 of the last operating unit of the Zaporozhye NPP, which was caused by regular attacks by the Armed Forces of Ukraine on the facility. Prior to this, Ukrainian power engineers disconnected 750 kV and 330 kV power lines from the station. All this led to a significant decrease in the stability of the country's energy system.

▪️Later, work began on restoring power supply in local segments of the Ukrainian energy system. Reserve capacities are connected, energy is being redistributed from the hydroelectric power station on the Dnieper and power lines in the western part of the country.

Is it enough to disable the country's energy system? Definitely not: for this, at least you need to hit power autotransformers 750/330kV in the western and central parts of Ukraine, as well as on the Dnieper.

However, this measure is a good signal for hotheads making loud statements against the background of the success of the Armed Forces of Ukraine in the Kharkiv region.

Therefore, the impact on the critical infrastructure of the enemy must continue. And not only at substations and thermal power plants, but also at bridges across the Dnieper.

🇺🇸 "We condemn the Russian airstrikes on Ukraine's critical infrastructure, which have left thousands of civilians without electricity and clean water," - Head of the US State Department Ned Price

What about Donetsk and Gorlovka, Ned? They haven't had water and light intermittently for a long-long time, Ned. What about water supply to Crimea, 90% of which had been cut off for 8 years from Ukrainian side?

Or do you mean to say that "This Is Different"?😡

From ZradaXX11

Today or tomorrow it will become clear whether yesterday's act (strikes on energy infrastructure - ZradaXXII) of influencing the Ukrainian energy sector was a psychotherapy session for an agitated society, an injection of pain relief after the “regrouping” of Russian forces, or the new phase of war has really begun.
I do not agree that the blow was idle, like they say, by the morning everything was restored, substations 750 by 500 were not destroyed, and the transfer of electricity from west to east leveled the losses.
In fact, in just one evening, the two largest thermal power plants were stopped for at least a long time. Just one evening - and on a huge territory the lights went out for several hours, the subway stopped and huge transformers were irretrievably lost.
The first Ukrainian strikes on the Antonovsky Bridge did not seem too dangerous. But the regularity and consistency still finished off the movement on it.
Now there are only 15 TPPs in Ukraine. So far, the survived stations can make up for the losses of the first day of strikes. But this is just the first act.
The most important thing is that it is not the only one. Cold weather is ahead, and each new blackout will cause more and more severe consequences.
JUST DONT STOP!
