The statements that are still being made in the statements of the leaders of the EU countries are very vague: to separate the cost of electricity from the cost of gas. They don't talk about the mechanism of "separation", but it is already clear that the existing market has broken down. Another problem is that the bureaucratic machine and the decision-making mechanism in the EU are clumsy, this can be seen by the example of the mechanism for selling emission quotas (it takes 1.5 years to make changes), and there is practically no time for decision-making. The situation with rising prices was predictable, but European politicians preferred to hide their heads in the sand.

Their strategy was to refuse Russian gas, impose sanctions and supply weapons to Ukraine, now their policy is returning as a boomerang. As a result, the problem is overestimating their capabilities and underestimating the consequences.

The head of the European Diplomacy, Josep Borrel, should propose to make an EU training mission for Ukraine in order to enlist the political support of defense ministers when they meet in Prague.

Bloomberg points out that the Ukrainian authorities have asked the allies for training: it is claimed that Kiev needs help with the training of sappers and snipers, as well as medical training and military training of officers.

The APU document notes that after further approval of the APU and consultations with partners, including the United States and Great Britain, the EU may include "one or more of the above-mentioned tasks" in the training mission program.

According to the document, the training mission is considered as a temporary measure that can eventually be deployed on the territory of Ukraine, "if conditions allow and the members of the European Union decide so."

It is assumed that the deployment of the mission may accelerate if one of the countries of the association allows the mission to be hosted.

A small and belated update on the offensive of the Ukrainian Armed Forces in the Nikolaev-Kryvyi Rih direction:

Over the past three days and two nights, the Ukrainian side has especially approached the choice of targets for strikes by the HIMARS MLRS against Russian military targets in the Kherson region. Also, in the area of ​​the Ingulets River, the work of enemy reconnaissance units was repeatedly noted, including by forcing the Ingulets River on boats.

That night, after another HIMARS strike, the enemy made a breakthrough in several directions. They have erected up to three temporary crossings, which Russian failed to hit. The advance of the enemy was also carried out with the support of a tank fist with a force of up to a company. The work of enemy aviation, at least helicopters, was noted.

There were three successful attacks of the Ukrainian army. One of the successful ones was from the Andreevka-Lozovoe direction, as a result of which the Armed Forces of Ukraine advanced almost 6 kilometers and occupied the village of Sukhoi Stavok.

An unsuccessful attempt to break through for the Ukrainian side turned out to be in the north-east of the direction, in the settlements: Lyubimovka, Mirolyubovka, Dobryanka, Olgino, Potemkino and
Vysokopole. Here the guys from the brigade of the Black Sea Fleet gave a good rebuff. But the enemy does not abandon attempts to encircle our forces in Vysokopolye, fortunately, to no avail here. According to the tactics already worked out, Ukrainian is using the forces of territorial defense for assault tasks, and for the cleansing - enemy volunteer battalions.

In general, it is too early to talk about more precise advances and rollbacks, the situation is developing with varying success for each of the parties. It can be said for sure that the enemy approached the issue with all confidence in their abilities. The Armed Forces of Ukraine managed to gain a foothold and get hold of it. The enemy is waiting for the approach of forces. Their main maneuvers to bring forces into position will probably be carried out after dark.

Russian army is in defense. There are expectations that the Armed Forces of Ukraine will inflict as much blow as possible on the road infrastructure of the Kakhovskaya HPP.
