Well, I have recently written several words about strange difference in attitudes towards inevitable "collateral casualties" among Ukrainians (in Ukraine) and almost the same predominantly Russian-speaking but still legally "Ukrainian" population of Donbass.
The problem is, actually, deeper than it was seen before. Because of some strange trend, even Russian (or pro-Russian) channels and bloggers are following Ukrainian narrative and, though trying to tell the truth, very often are setting accent in such a way that Ukrainian side benefits most.
What do I mean? Well, Russian forces are regularly and routinely exploding several Ukrainian ammunition depots every day/night. They also destroy several HQ of Ukrainian Army at the level from a battalion to a brigade. They methodically win counter-battery fight and destroy dozens of Ukrainian howitzers and MLRS (including some of M777 and HIMARS) on a daily basis. However, where that will be written about - yes, @mod_russia_en, and almost nowhere else. Why - because it is boring, that is what you would expect...
Instead there would be a detailed coverage of a strike by a primitive drone on the Black Sea Fleet HQ in Sevastopol, which certainly is annoying, but has not achieved any military objective (though did achieve a propaganda objective). But it did achieve that propaganda objective only because we were writing and reading about it. Yes, there was an unnecessary loss of resources at the airfield due to another drone attack (or sabotage), but it was a one off occasion, measures were taken to avoid its repeating.
