I honestly thought, that the question about who has hit Kramatorsk rail station with Tochka-U missile is already done and dusted, as the topic has swiftly disappeared from the Western mainstream media. https://t.me/TrFormer/249 https://t.me/TrFormer/259 However, Ukrainian side continues pushing it, probably not being fully aware, that anyone who is capable of comparing several sources of information has already made his/her mind. However, Ukrainian police is collecting evidences - packing a teddy-bear into a forensic bag... Just to touch your and somebodies else emotions. Yes, it is awful - more than 50 people has died, children among them. But emotions are blocking human ability to reason and to find the real criminals. It is all that Ukrainian propaganda is doing - playing on normal human reactions, replacing clear vision with emotional overdrive.
When I was mentioning "propaganda" (Italian, from modern Latin congregatio de propaganda fide ‘congregation for propagation of the faith’ - a committee of cardinals of the Roman Catholic Church responsible for foreign missions, founded in 1622 by Pope Gregory XV ) in the previous post https://t.me/TrFormer/279 - there were no negative attitude to the term itself. Propaganda is a weapon, and as any weapon, it may become "good" or "bad" depending on your point of view. However, propaganda may use lies - what will help in a short term, but will be very damaging in a long term prospective. Nowadays, I certainly doubt that there may be really any "unbiased journalism" or "free independent press". In that sense, what I am doing is a propaganda as well, however, I am trying to call for reasoning and pragmatic thinking, rather than emotions.

“To be, or not to be, that is the question” I am getting personal here. Yes, Zelenskii is a good actor. Better than Peskov, who was lead by a "big shark" of Mark Austin into uncharted waters of mass media interview and tried to give time for questions, not realising, that he will not be given time for answers... https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=L0WScHPbaPA However, it was Peskov's mistake - he should have asked for an interpreter and gain those all deciding few seconds. He, (forgive me Russian patriots) - may be even better than Putin in inducing emotions among mentally non-stable members of the audience - who may rush to the war theatre to save the innocent on the wrong side. But he failed to be a President, whose main aim is supposed to be taking care of his people.
Lets blame Russia for interference in French Election. Just in case if Le Pen would win, then you can say that her policy is not in the interests of France, but in the interest of Russia. Vive la France!
https://www.washingtonpost.com/national-security/2022/03/16/ukraine-zelensky-information-war/ Sean McFate, author of “The New Rules of War” and a senior fellow at the Atlantic Council, said the Ukrainian communications strategy — or stratcom, in military parlance — highlighted a shift taking place in modern conflicts, from a focus on munitions dropped to one centered in large part on messaging, media and persuasion.
“Russia may be winning the shooting war,” he said. “But Ukraine is winning the information war. That is the key to getting allies’ support and sympathy.”

Since the Russian offensive inside Ukraine commenced on February 24, the Ukrainian military has cultivated the image of a plucky little army standing up to the Russian Goliath. To bolster the perception of Ukrainian military mettle, Kiev has churned out a steady stream of sophisticated propaganda aimed at stirring public and official support from Western countries.
The campaign includes language guides, key messages, and hundreds of propaganda posters, some of which contain fascist imagery and even praise Neo-Nazi leaders.
Behind Ukraine’s public relations effort is an army of foreign political strategists, Washington DC lobbyists, and a network of intelligence-linked media outlets. https://www.mintpressnews.com/ukraine-propaganda-war-international-pr-firms-dc-lobbyists-cia-cutouts/280012/

With Russia now under some of the severest sanctions ever imposed as part of an effort to halt its war on Ukraine, we discuss international sanctions with our guest, Anne-Cécile Robert, director of Le Monde diplomatique’s international editions.
Anne-Cécile and her colleague Hélène Richard have an article in this month’s paper entitled ‘Russia and the West: between sanctions and war’, which shows that, as sanctions have proliferated in the last 30 years, there’s a risk they come to be seen as a quick-fix alternative to diplomacy. https://mondediplo.com/2022/03/02ukraine-sanctions-podcast

If sanctions don’t stop wars, what are they for?

As Vladimir Putin has led his country for 22 years (including as prime minister from 2008 to 2012), we need to understand his motives for sending in troops to conquer Ukraine. This should be easy as he has often spoken about them. There are two opposing schools of thought. The first holds that Putin is reacting to the West’s ongoing contempt for his security concerns as NATO, reneging on previous commitments, got closer to his borders. The second believes that the lack of response to a series of aggressive acts, and the opportunity that gave him to re-establish Russia’s former sphere of influence, encouraged Putin’s expansionism. Defensive logic, or thirst for revenge?
These two versions need not be mutually exclusive, but while the first, often expressed in these columns, can be backed up with a mass of historical documents, the second, more favoured by the neocons, relies on psychologising dictators’ behaviour. And on the usual comparisons with Hitler, Munich and Churchill popular with showmen of geopolitics such as Bernard-Henri Lévy. These comparisons were already worn thin defending the wars in the Gulf (1991), Kosovo (1999), Afghanistan (2001) and Libya (2011). And bemoaning the absence of a similarly firm military response in Georgia, Syria and Ukraine.
Their basic premise is so simple that even the least gifted journalist can repeat it: whenever one of the West’s enemies strays from the straight and narrow, any failure to administer immediate ‘punishment’ is seen as encouraging them and provoking more serious aggression in the future. It goes without saying that the doctrine of ‘give them an inch and they’ll take a mile’ never applies to the US, Saudi Arabia or Israel. https://mondediplo.com/2022/04/01elections-france
