The US military has not disclosed its final destination, but the route would bring the carrier group to the Taiwan Strait if it continues in the same direction. Meanwhile, China is also building up its aerial strength in the region.

​​🇷🇺 Main Naval Parade dress rehearsal kicks of in St. Petersburg

▫️The dress rehearsal for the main naval parade has begun in the waters of Neva and Kronstadt Harbour raid.

🚢 It will be attended by more than 40 warships, submarines, vessels and boats of various types. These are, in particular, the newest surface ships with which the Navy is equipped, ships of the far ocean and sea zone, whose serial construction has already been deployed. Participants of rehearsal include ships and vessels from all fleets and Caspian Flotilla, as well as boats from other security agencies - the Border Service of the Federal Security Service and the EMERCOM.

✈️ As part of the naval aviation parade group, 42 aircraft and helicopters of the Russian Navy, transport and special aviation will fly over St Petersburg during the dress rehearsal.

🌊 The parade will take place on July 31 in Neva water area between the Blagoveshchensk and Troitsk bridges and in the water area of Kronstadt Harbour raid along the southern barrier wall of the port.

▫️The parade will include land, sea and air parts, which will allow a holistic presentation of the modern look of the Russian Navy. More than 3,500 servicemen, 40 surface ships and submarines, 42 aircraft will take part in the parade.

▫️Ship parades will also take place in Vladivostok, Baltiysk, Severomorsk, Kaspiysk, Novorossiysk and Tartuos.

▫️Celebrations and military sports events will take place at all Naval base locations and naval bases.
