The point of deployment of the artillery unit of Ukraine and the ammunition depot at the "Ceramic Combine" in Slovyansk were struck, the Russian Defence Ministry reported. As a result, up to 100 Ukrainian military personnel, more than 1,000 shells for US-made M777 howitzers, and about 700 shells for Grads were destroyed.

Canada has granted a sanctions exemption to allow a repaired Russian turbine to be sent back to Germany for the Nord Stream 1 gas pipeline. The Canadian government said the “time-limited and revocable permit” would support “Europe’s ability to access reliable and affordable energy as they continue to transition away from Russian oil and gas”. Canada also announced it would expand sanctions against Russia’s energy sector to include industrial manufacturing. Kyiv urged the Canadian government not to return the part to Germany, but Germany, which is facing severe gas shortages, is being threatened with a further squeeze on Russian gas by Moscow if the turbine isn’t returned.
Great, they will return a turbine for piping gas in order for Germany "to transition away from Russian oil and gas". Is there any consistency? Would it be easier to say that they are applying their own sanctions when they want, and do not apply, when they can benefit from it?

An article in The Guardian with some elements of truth in it.
Serhiy Haidai, the head of Luhansk’s regional military administration (of the Kiev regime), said on Friday that Russian forces have not slowed their campaign, rejecting western assessments that Russia had paused to rest and regroup after it successfully occupied almost the entire Luhansk region last week.
Haidai said on Telegram that Russian forces were “firing along the entire frontline” as they attempt to conquer more territory in the Donbas, control of which is one of their professed strategic goals.
Pavlo Kyrylenko, the head of the Donetsk regional military administration (of the Kiev regime), said on Saturday afternoon that Russia is shelling the Ukrainian-controlled town of Sloviansk “day and night”, and the nearby town of Druzhivka was hit by a Russian missile. The town of Kramatorsk was also hit, said Kyrylenko.
Kyrylenko said on Saturday morning that five people were killed and eight injured on 8 July, after a similarly heavy day of shelling in Donetsk.
Well, but did he say who was shelling Donetsk? For an unprepared reader it is all bad Russians... Also, strikes on Ukrainian controlled towns were carried out on military forces and facilities of Ukraine, some of which were placed in civilian buildings.
You can see, how just moving accents and manipulating data The Guardian may appear "objective and unbiassed", while completely distorting the picture. Students of journalism - take a note of it, can be very useful.

Ukraine tells Canada not to return a key part for Russia's gas pipeline to Europe, report says
From Business Insider
In June, Russia cut 40% of its natural gas supplies to Germany because a turbine sent to Montreal for repairs is now stuck in Canada due to sanctions imposed by the Canadian government on Russia's oil and gas industry last month.
German economy minister Robert Habeck told Bloomberg: "I'll be the first one who will fight for a further strong EU sanction package, but strong sanctions means it must hurt and harm Russia and Putin more than it does our economy."
Habeck fears that if Canada continues to hold the key component to the pipeline, it would give an excuse for Putin to keep it closed after maintenance is completed.
Release the turbine could be controversial for Trudeau's government as Canada has the largest Ukrainian population outside of Russia.

Ukrainian nationalists spoiled the only well in Volcheyarovka by flooding it with diesel fuel.
“They asked where the well was. We showed them. We came the next day, they poured diesel fuel there. People don’t have water,” a resident of the LPR told Izvestia correspondent Daniil Levin. Together with her three-year-old son, she stayed in the village, which is constantly fired upon by the APU fighters.
According to the woman, the Ukrainian military offered her to evacuate only to Poland and western Ukraine, but she wanted to stay at home.

Tochka-U is Soviet era ballistic missile system, which was not used by Russian Army. However, there were reserves in deep conservation at military warehouses. Now they will have a go.
