"We are told we have started a war in Donbass, in Ukraine.
No, it was unleashed by this very collective West, organizing and supporting an unconstitutional armed coup in Ukraine in 2014, and the encouraging and justifying genocide against people in the Donbass. This very collective West is the direct instigator, the culprit of what is happening today."

Daily Mail is an amazing place. Among the usual rubbish you sometimes may find a useful thing (read it in full).
Here are some extracts:
Since the end of April, several videos have been posted on social media by frontline soldiers saying they lack the right leadership, training or equipment – and in some cases refusing to fight.
More than 20 soldiers from the 101st Brigade said they were ready to ‘perform tasks of territorial defence’ such as running checkpoints or protecting buildings but their unit was ‘unprepared for operations in the combat zone’.
Thirty soldiers from another brigade said they had retreated because they did not have a leader and were dumped as ‘unprepared people with no military experience’ in a combat zone.
Another group of 60 in a rifle battalion said they were ‘thrown’ on the front line without suitable training and then attacked with phosphorus weapons by Russians. ‘We began to fall behind. Now they make us deserters because we could not dig trenches under fire.’
Phillips O’Brien, professor of strategic studies at St Andrews University in Scotland, said history showed the number of volunteer recruits usually diminished in wars. ‘There is a rush to colours – then after a few months the volunteers dry up and armies rely on conscripts.’ he said.
It is a ‘natural human self-preservation’, he said, for some men to dodge the draft. ‘People don’t want to die. And if you are Ukrainian, you’re hearing terrible stories and may know people who have been killed or badly wounded.’
He added that the key issue for Ukraine was not an overall shortfall in military numbers but the lack of well-trained and equipped troops to serve along such a sprawling front line, protect long borders and launch counter-attacks.

We recently have written about it, here is a confirmation from another source:
Yesterday, the first batch of Ukrainian servicemen landed in the UK as part of London's new program to train the Armed Forces of Ukraine.
In the next four months, it is planned to train up to 10 thousand people.
It turns out that the Britons have again stepped up their long-standing cooperation with Kyiv in this area.
From 2015 to the beginning of 2022, they carried out the Orbital training operation on the territory of Ukraine, but they left the country before the start of the Military Operation. Now, obviously, they have returned to service, having changed geography.
Is it good or bad? We'll see you on the battlefield. However, over the seven years of the Orbital operation, London trained 22,000 troops. And now half of this result is promised in ten times less time.

Canada has granted a sanctions exemption to allow a repaired Russian turbine to be sent back to Germany for the Nord Stream 1 gas pipeline. The Canadian government said the “time-limited and revocable permit” would support “Europe’s ability to access reliable and affordable energy as they continue to transition away from Russian oil and gas”. Canada also announced it would expand sanctions against Russia’s energy sector to include industrial manufacturing. Kyiv urged the Canadian government not to return the part to Germany, but Germany, which is facing severe gas shortages, is being threatened with a further squeeze on Russian gas by Moscow if the turbine isn’t returned.
Great, they will return a turbine for piping gas in order for Germany "to transition away from Russian oil and gas". Is there any consistency? Would it be easier to say that they are applying their own sanctions when they want, and do not apply, when they can benefit from it?

An article in The Guardian with some elements of truth in it.
Serhiy Haidai, the head of Luhansk’s regional military administration (of the Kiev regime), said on Friday that Russian forces have not slowed their campaign, rejecting western assessments that Russia had paused to rest and regroup after it successfully occupied almost the entire Luhansk region last week.
Haidai said on Telegram that Russian forces were “firing along the entire frontline” as they attempt to conquer more territory in the Donbas, control of which is one of their professed strategic goals.
Pavlo Kyrylenko, the head of the Donetsk regional military administration (of the Kiev regime), said on Saturday afternoon that Russia is shelling the Ukrainian-controlled town of Sloviansk “day and night”, and the nearby town of Druzhivka was hit by a Russian missile. The town of Kramatorsk was also hit, said Kyrylenko.
Kyrylenko said on Saturday morning that five people were killed and eight injured on 8 July, after a similarly heavy day of shelling in Donetsk.
Well, but did he say who was shelling Donetsk? For an unprepared reader it is all bad Russians... Also, strikes on Ukrainian controlled towns were carried out on military forces and facilities of Ukraine, some of which were placed in civilian buildings.
You can see, how just moving accents and manipulating data The Guardian may appear "objective and unbiassed", while completely distorting the picture. Students of journalism - take a note of it, can be very useful.

Ukraine tells Canada not to return a key part for Russia's gas pipeline to Europe, report says
From Business Insider
In June, Russia cut 40% of its natural gas supplies to Germany because a turbine sent to Montreal for repairs is now stuck in Canada due to sanctions imposed by the Canadian government on Russia's oil and gas industry last month.
German economy minister Robert Habeck told Bloomberg: "I'll be the first one who will fight for a further strong EU sanction package, but strong sanctions means it must hurt and harm Russia and Putin more than it does our economy."
Habeck fears that if Canada continues to hold the key component to the pipeline, it would give an excuse for Putin to keep it closed after maintenance is completed.
Release the turbine could be controversial for Trudeau's government as Canada has the largest Ukrainian population outside of Russia.
