The western fronts of Taiz governorate and the western coastal areas have witnessed a significant military escalation in recent days, as Houthi forces launched an intensive ground offensive toward strategic positions overlooking large areas of western Taiz and the western coast along the Bab al-Mandab corridor. These formations include combat-experienced fighters, including elements with Salafist backgrounds, and some of their units are known for their strong performance in ground combat.
