The Russian Defense Ministry issued a statement on the attack of the Armed Forces of Ukraine on Kramatorsk.

The statements of Kiev about Russia's alleged involvement in today's missile attack on the railway station are a provocation. They are absolutely not true.

The Russian armed forces did not have any firing tasks on April 8 in the city of Kramatorsk and were not planned.

Tochka-U tactical missiles, the wreckage of which was found near the Kramatorsk railway station, are used only by the Ukrainian military.

▪️The Tochka U complex has not been used by Russian troops for a long time. The authors of the provocation in Ukraine might not have known that ALL the missile brigades of the Russian Armed Forces were re-equipped with the new Iskander-M missile defense system back in 2019, says Sputnik military observer Alexander Khrolenko.

Unlike the 100-km range of the "Point U", Iskander missiles can hit targets for 500 km, and they hit much more accurately (in a peg).

The target of the APU strike was precisely the residential part of the city. The Russian Defense Ministry has named the target of a missile strike by Ukrainian security forces at the Kramatorsk railway station.

The Kiev regime tried to prevent the mass departure of residents from the city in order to use them as a "human shield" to defend the positions of the Armed Forces of Ukraine, as in many other settlements of Ukraine, the military department said.

According to the Russian military, the strike was carried out by a missile division of the Armed Forces of Ukraine from the Dobropillya area 45 km southwest of Kramatorskaya.

In order to blame Russia, Kiev organized the stuffing in social networks of photos of the Tochka-U installations that took part in the Russian-Belarusian exercise "Allied Determination-2022" in February 2022.

At the same time, all the photos do not depict Russian complexes. The Ministry of Defense recalled that the Russian army is armed with Tochka-U missiles not worth it. They are used only by the APU.
