The authors of the provocation in Ukraine might not have known that ALL the missile brigades of the Russian Armed Forces were re-equipped with the new Iskander-M missile defense system back in 2019, says Sputnik military observer Alexander Khrolenko.

Unlike the 100-km range of the "Point U", Iskander missiles can hit targets for 500 km, and they hit much more accurately (in a peg).

The target of the APU strike was precisely the residential part of the city. The cluster warhead of the "Point U", which the APU used in Kramatorsk, explodes above the ground and is designed for the area defeat of a large number of people outside shelters. And it does not threaten railway tracks, convoys with military equipment, protected objects of the Armed Forces of Ukraine, which could become targets of Russian strikes.
