Commander-in-Chief of the Armed Forces of Ukraine Valery Zaluzhny made a post on Facebook, in which he wrote that Ukrainian troops were forced to switch to mobile defense, since fire superiority is on the side of the Russian Federation.
“It’s very difficult for us, because fire superiority is on the side of the enemy. Despite everything, we are holding on. The situation is difficult, but controllable. We are forced to conduct a mobile defense, take up more advantageous lines and positions,” he wrote.

MOSCOW, June 24 - RIA Novosti. Russian troops and units of the Lugansk People's Republic took Lisichansk into an operational encirclement, Ivan Filiponenko, official representative of the People's Militia of the LPR, said on the Russia 24 TV channel.
"Today, the settlement of Gorskoye was liberated and the liberation of the settlement of Zolote was completed. Now work continues there to identify and clean up the remaining militants, the city is completely under the control of the LPR, thus, the ring around Lisichansk is shrinking, the city is actually in a state of operational encirclement," he said.
