But that is me. However, British readers apparently does not trust Daily Mail either. Just see, what comments they are leaving on this article. Well, British common sense should prevail. As one of the comments reads: "We are not fooled, nor fools".

#YURI WAR BRIEFING Kharkov, heavy artillery attacks of the Russians continue across the whole area. Not just artillery and MLRS are used, also Kalibers and Iskanders, too. This suggests an importance given to this area by the Russian command.

Gorskoye-Zolotoye cauldron slammed shut, finally. Russian troops reached the last village before Lisichansk oil refinery. Also, in some places, there are 5-6 kilometers left to Bakhmut. Serious Ukrainian resistance near Ugledar, bitter fights with varying success near Pavlovka, where Ukrainians hope to distract Russian troops from the main direction of the offensive. Heavy Ukrainian losses in Nikolayev, several hundreds of soldiers, again, taken by surprise in the barracks by a cruise missile.

🎞️ World War II Leaders

22.06.22 Russia marks a historic anniversary, the Day of Remembrance of Sorrow. 81 years ago, Nazi Germany attacked the USSR. Twenty-seven million Soviet citizens died in what is known here as the Great Patriotic War, which became the bloodiest in history. During the conflict, the balance of power was held by 'the Big Three': Winston Churchill, Franklin Roosevelt and Joseph Stalin.

At different times in history, they were either great allies or great rivals. Great Britain and the USA had plans drawn up to attack the weakened USSR after the war. At the same time, London, buying American weapons under the lend-lease program, was mired in debt. This ultimately became a leading cause of the downfall of Britain's colonial Empire.

Don't miss the premiere, 'World War II Leaders' to learn how relationships between the USSR, USA and Great Britain developed before, during and after WWII.

🇬🇧📈9.1% — record inflation in Britain for 40 years

Inflation in Britain in May was the largest since 1982 — 9.1%, — the National Statistical Office of Britain reported today. In April, inflation was 9%, in March — 7% The main contribution to the jump in inflation was made by a sharp increase in utility bills, which occurred due to a jump in energy prices, including a strong increase in gas prices, as well as an increase in gasoline prices

Attention. Translated from Ukrainian channel.

Our source reports that now the number of missile strikes on the Ukrainian rear is increasing – this is due to the upcoming NATO summit.
The source indicates that the Russians have begun to embody a new stage, which implies the complete destruction of infrastructure, auxiliary units and warehouses of the army.
If there are warehouses in your company or enterprise and military vehicles, even belonging to the territorial forces, come there and store just provisions and uniform there, be assured, your warehouse / store / enterprise will sooner or later be blown up by a missile hit.

Well, somebody was worried that Russia is running out of missiles...

Attention. Translated from Ukrainian channel.

SBU (Ukrainian security service) reports to the President's Office that the territories controlled by Russia are beginning to adapt to the new reality, and more and more of the local political and economic elite of the region are switching to the Kremlin's side. Seeing all this, the local common people also massively went to get passports of the Russian Federation, as they were disappointed and didn't want waite any more.
This is an alarming sign for the President's Office. The source explains why.
All our media and celebrities convince the masses that it is terrible to live there, everything is bad there, there is little money, there is no food, there is no freedom (although there is no freedom in Ukraine either), there is no future. It will turn out that in winter, when the whole of Ukraine can freeze and starve – these regions will live in warmth and prosperity, gradually building and adjusting life, then the whole informational house of cards built by the Bankova Street (Ukrainian president's office) media functionaries will collapse.
It was decided to make these regions life-threatening, not to let them develop, so that after they declare that there is "no life for people, everything is bad there." At a closed meeting with Zelensky, it was decided to increase the number of "terrorist attacks" in the name of democracy, and the security forces were also given the go-ahead to undermine urban communications and other infrastructure in order to complicate life in these cities and districts.

Footage of the liberation of the village of Toshkovka (LPR) from the militants of the Armed Forces of Ukraine. The 107th motorized rifle brigade of the DPR, which is distributed in the Popasnyansky direction, is working on enemy positions.

Toshkovka is one of the villages located in the Lisichansk region. Establishing control over the village allowed the allied forces to organize an attack on Chikhirovo, and then on Mirnaya Dolina.

As a result, our military was able to take control of the dominant height in the area of the R-66 highway (Novotoshkovskoye - Lisichansk) - this made it possible to expand the fire control of the allied forces on the southern approaches and in the vicinity of Lisichansk and finally block the neck of the mountain cauldron, in which there are about 1.5 thousand militants of the Armed Forces of Ukraine.

Another long read from the Guardian, where the author is trying to fit the emerging picture of reality into his limited templates of "dictator Putin" and "aggressive Russia". Nevertheless, something starts to become clearer even to him.

Yet in Whitehall they fear the “F word” – fatigue – and worry that the west with its TikTok-attention span and bias towards instant gratification does not have the resolve for the years-long sacrifice required to defeat Russia, or even stem the military tide in the villages of eastern Ukraine.

That anxiety is shared by Volodymyr Zelenskiy, the Ukrainian president, who in a speech to marketing professionals in Cannes this week pleaded with them to use their creative ingenuity to keep the world focused on his country’s struggle: “Don’t let the world switch to something else,” he said.

Not a retreat, but a "maneuverable defense" ...

Commander-in-Chief of the Armed Forces of Ukraine Valery Zaluzhny made a post on Facebook, in which he wrote that Ukrainian troops were forced to switch to mobile defense, since fire superiority is on the side of the Russian Federation.
“It’s very difficult for us, because fire superiority is on the side of the enemy. Despite everything, we are holding on. The situation is difficult, but controllable. We are forced to conduct a mobile defense, take up more advantageous lines and positions,” he wrote.
It is noteworthy that in the context of Zaluzhny's quote, mobile defense actually means the retreat of troops. We observed almost the same substitution of concepts at Azovstal, where the authorities called the surrender of the Ukrainian military "evacuation" and "special operation".
