🇺🇲 US mercenary Andy Win, captured near Kharkov, told why he went to fight in Ukraine

“Initially, when the conflict started, on February 24, I saw a lot of news ... Again, now I believe that this was propaganda from the West - not only America, but the West as a whole.

[Western media] said Russian forces were indiscriminately killing civilians. During my travels, I have not observed this, ”he told rt.com correspondent Roman Kosarev.

The mercenary also said that the Russian army treats prisoners humanely: “When we needed water, they gave it to us. We were immobilized (because they tied us up so that we would not run away), and they themselves, so that we would not be cold, adjusted our blankets.”

"We are against the war" - saying American Mercenaries in Russian language now.

They came to "fight Russia" in Ukraine. They were captured near Kharkov.

The first is Alexander Drueke, USA, Alabama, Tuscaloosa.
The second is Andy Huynh, also Alabama, Hartselle.

After falling into hands of our guys, they hated the war and craved for peace, and they also want to go home. But this is unlikely. By the way, they've already begun to learn the great and mighty Russian language.

They are saying in Russian - "We are against the War!"

UK government has approved extradition request for Julian Assange.

The Home Office said the courts had not found that extradition would be incompatible with his human rights, including his right to a fair trial and to freedom of expression, and that he would be treated appropriately.

Australia says case has dragged on too long

Assange is wanted by U.S. authorities on 18 counts, including a spying charge, relating to WikiLeaks' release of vast troves of confidential U.S. military records and diplomatic cables which Washington said had put lives in danger.

His supporters say he is an anti-establishment hero who has been victimised because he exposed U.S. wrongdoing in conflicts in Afghanistan and Iraq, and that his prosecution is a politically motivated assault on journalism and free speech.

Originally, a British judge ruled Assange, 50, should not be deported, saying his mental health meant he would be at risk of suicide if convicted and held in a maximum security prison.

But this was overturned on an appeal after the United States gave a package of assurances, including a pledge he could be transferred to Australia to serve any sentence.

German journalist who tells the truth about Donbass faces jail in her homeland
06/17/2022

German citizen Alina Lipp, who is in the Donbass and writes about the events taking place there, told RIA Novosti by phone that she was charged in her homeland with an article on “encouraging and approving criminal actions” against Ukraine, under which she is threatened with prison.

Lipp presents herself as a freelance journalist and since the beginning of Russia’s special operation in Ukraine, she has been covering events in the Donbass in her Neues aus Russland (News from Russia) Telegram channel, she has about 165,000 subscribers. Lipp publishes testimonies of events in the Donbass, interviews with residents affected by Ukrainian shelling, and collects donations for his activities.

According to her confession, she considers the purpose of her work to inform fellow citizens about the events in the Donbass, where, according to her, journalists from large German publications almost never visit.

According to Lipp, about a month ago she noticed that her PayPal payment system was blocked along with the money located there, then she received a notification from the bank that her account and her father's account would be frozen. Some time later, part of the funds was withdrawn in favour of the state. Lipp received an official notification of her registration address in the city of Lüneburg just a few days ago.

In the document, a copy of which is at the disposal of RIA Novosti, the local prosecutor's office announces a closed meeting of the Lüneburg district court that took place on May 5, which took place without a preliminary hearing, since this "could harm the investigation."

At the meeting, in which only the prosecution took part, by a court decision, at the preliminary request of the city prosecutor's office, the confiscation of money and the subsequent closure of the German woman's accounts were appointed. The prosecutor's office believes that Lipp received monetary rewards from subscribers for her activities.

According to the investigation, Lipp agreed with the actions of the Russian Federation on the territory of Ukraine and thereby committed an illegal act, violating German law regarding “encouragement and approval of criminal acts.”

“I have been working here for half a year and I myself see how Ukraine is shelling us. I can say goodbye to life at any moment. And so I think it's good that Russia is helping people here," Lipp told RIA Novosti.

The court further cites Lipp’s alleged statements as “illegal acts”: on the day the special operation began, the German woman allegedly wrote a message on her Telegram channel with the words “denazification has begun”, and later published a video in which she said that the population of Donbass was celebrating the liberation, and with side of the Ukrainian regime in relation to the inhabitants in recent years, genocide has been carried out.

According to Lipp, she never made any harsh statements that could be regarded as a legal violation.

“Yes, even if I said something like that, for example, that Germany allegedly again turned into a totalitarian state, then, in general, freedom of opinion is protected by the Constitution of the Federal Republic of Germany - even if I would spread some kind of fable. But at the moment it seems that nothing is already possible, but you can only share the information that suits the authorities, ”says the German.

The document also contains an assessment of the court that Lipp’s words can undermine the “mental climate of the German population” and split German society: according to the court, the journalist “sows doubts about the efficiency of public opinion in Germany and the veracity of the German public media”, thereby “undermining trust in legal security and calling into question the integrity of the democratic system in the country.”

At the moment, Lipp is in the status of the defendant, the number of charges will be determined in the future during the investigation, the document says.

In the near future, the girl plans to turn to lawyers for help and challenge the court's decision. Under the incriminated article, she faces a fine and/or a prison sentence of up to three years. Lipp does not plan to return to Germany, because, according to her, she tied her fate with Russia.

Russia's military on Friday said it wants to seize all of Donbas and southern Ukraine -- and reach far as south as Moldova -- as it outlined its objectives in "the second stage" of the attack on Ukraine. The announcement marks far wider war goals than what Moscow previously stated.

"Since the beginning of the second stage of the special operation, and it started just two days ago, one of the tasks of the Russian army has been to take full control of Donbas and southern Ukraine. That will ensure the opening of a land corridor to Crimea and influence critical elements of the Ukrainian economy," acting Central Military District Commander Rustam Minnekayev said at an annual meeting of the Union of Defence Plants of the Sverdlovsk Region on Friday.

"Establishing control over southern Ukraine would also give the Russian army access to Transdniestria, where facts of oppression of the Russian-speaking population have also been observed," Minnekayev said. Transdniestria is the de-facto breakaway region of Moldova that is not internationally recognized but has pro-Russian leaders and about 1,500 Russian troops stationed there.

⚠️ Ukrainian Armed Forces and Ukrainian nationalist fighters continue to use of civilian infrastructure for military purposes:

🔹in Nikopol, Dnipropetrovsk region, AFU and territorial defence units are stationed in school (Shevchenko st.), and military equipment and artillery are deployed in the immediate vicinity of the school;

🔹in Parkhomovka, Kharkov region, soldiers of the Ukrainian armed forces and foreign mercenaries are stationed in the building of the cultural centre, while armoured vehicles, artillery and multiple rocket launchers are located on the adjacent territory;

🔹in Nikolaev, Ukrainian nationalists have equipped firing positions on the lower and upper floors of residential buildings (Kosmonautov st.), with an anti-aircraft gun mounted on the roof of one of the buildings. Local residents are forcibly detained in said residences;

🔹in Kramatorsk, Donetsk People's Republic, nationalists have equipped firing positions and sniper points on the territory of kindergarten No. 93 (Proizdnaya st.), and approaches to the building are mined, but the local population is deliberately not informed about this;

🔹in Odessa, Ukrainian militants have equipped a stronghold in school No 113 (Black Sea Cossacks st.) and placed heavy weapons and equipment in the courtyard;

🔹in Toretsk, Donetsk People's Republic, AFU servicemen have equipped barracks and firing positions on the territory of the power plant, boarding school (Glinka st.), young technicians' station (Shakhteher Avenue), school No 2 (Gogol st.) and school No 5 (Liberators of Donbas Street) and a stronghold and weapons storage facilities in a multi-storey residential building (Tereshkova st.).

▫️Local residents are forbidden to leave their flats, and all attempts by citizens to evacuate to safe areas are severely curtailed.

▫️Such actions by Kiev once again demonstrate an inhuman attitude towards the fate of its own citizens and show a complete disregard for all norms of morality and international humanitarian law.

❗️The crimes of the Kiev regime are still ignored by the world community and international organizations.

The White House fears that Ukraine would use long-range rockets to strike targets inside Russia, but Arakhamia said Kyiv has assured Washington that the weapons will be used only inside Ukraine.

“We are ready to sign any guarantees in written format,” he said, even offering to vote on it in parliament. Ukrainian Defence Minister Oleksii Reznikov recently wrote a letter to Defense Secretary Lloyd Austin making that guarantee, Ustinova said.

Still, the U.S. official said they did not expect the administration to approve long-range projectiles in the upcoming package.

Ustinova said 500 soldiers are dying or wounded on the battlefield each day.

“One of the strategies the foreign partners are looking at is exhausting Putin. I’m sorry, we are exhausting our own people. We are literally losing our people,” she said. “Four HIMARS is nothing.”
