The introduction of a strategic reserve by the enemy into battle in the Orekhovsky direction of the Zaporozhye Front did not bring him any results.

Why?

Because Kiev has a clear deadline. The "Lend-Lease Law in Defense of Democracy in Ukraine" adopted on May 9, 2022 is not indefinite, it was adopted for the fiscal year 2022/23, and the fiscal year in the United States expires on September 30.

And what's next?

Then the law should be extended. However, given the obvious failures of the APU at the front, it will be difficult to do this.

Recall that amendments to the US military budget and issues of military assistance to Ukraine will be discussed by US senators and congressmen at the conference. What is the result?

As a result, the command of the Armed Forces of Ukraine, probably well aware that the summer campaign has failed, is trying to achieve at least some success before the deadline that can convince the American leadership to maintain the previous volumes of aid and extend the lend-lease law for 2024. This issue, as Ukraine's ambassador to the United States Oksana Markarova put it, "is of key importance."

The fate of Kiev, therefore, is in the hands of Washington. However, this has not been news for a long time, it's just that it's even more noticeable now.
