Algeria has applied to join the BRICS group and submitted a $1.5 billion request to become a shareholder of the BRICS bank. They have called it their first contribution to the bank.

12 Russian bombers launched cruise missiles at UGIL military targets

The press secretary of the Air forces of the Armed Forces of Ukraine Ignat confirmed that the target of the missile strike on the Khmelnitsky region was Starokonstantinov, where the airfield of Ukrainian aviation is located.

☝️#ImportantFact: Patrice Lumumba was the DRC’s first democratically elected Prime Minister, who came to symbolise the African people’s struggle for independence. He also championed closer ties with the USSR. In 1961 , he was killed with the involvement of Western intelligence services. The People’s Friendship University in Moscow was named after him.

🎓 The Soviet Union established RUDN University in an effort to help young African states who had to face many social and economic challenges stemming from the colonial rule by Western countries, including the need to train highly skilled professionals.

It is for this reason that degree programmes focusing on essential sectors like manufacturing, oil & gas, construction, power, agriculture, & social services were always front & centre for African students coming to study at RUDN University.
