'We're Fighting the World's Evil'
‘They [Ukrainian military] fight under the influence of dope. While liberating another city block… we discovered the decapitated bodies of our comrades. It was done to intimidate us psychologically.’
These are the words of Daniil Martynov, commander of a Chechen unit in Russia’s special operation in Ukraine. The Chechen military has taken part in significant combat, so Daniil has a story. According to him, his unit found many documents and equipment related to NATO. He’s sure the Ukrainian authorities had been preparing for aggression against Russia for a long time.
Daniil is the subject of our film 'We're Fighting the World's Evil'. He talks about the work of the Russian military in a special operation and the crimes of the Ukrainian army.

In the times of the military conflicts many concepts that were seemingly unchallengeable for many generations will suddenly be questioned and frequently – dismantled. So is the statement that journalism may be or should be unbiased.
Let's get real, let's forget the myth of "impartiality" and "independence" of the big state-funded and corporative media-holdings – there is propaganda and impartiality on all sides. But no, we will not. And you know why? Because no matter how flown the principle is, it distinguish "us" from "them" – we are better than they, because we are adhering to it, even just nominally. That gives us a right to ban "propaganda outlets" from our media-scape, like it has recently happened with RT, Sputnik and a number of official and non-official channels on YouTube, Instagram and Facebook. And now even the RT website is not available in the UK – and all of that is happening because “it appears impossible for RT to comply with the due impartiality rules” – states British regulator Ofcom. How conveniently our alleged “virtues” can be weaponized against any non-complying side.
Even UNESCO has declined the application from the Russian Federation for the participation in an international conference on the “World Freedom of Press Day” recently on a far-fetched pretext. “Secretariat has rejected Russian applications for holding a special session on the impact of the large IT companies on the work of the media, as well as for expert speeches in the panel discussions. The motivation for the refusal about “non-compliance” with the requirements of the conference and the already formed list of speakers does not stand up to scrutiny. The proposals of the Russian side were sent on time and fully fit into the main theme of the event” – Russian Foreign Ministry has stated. Think about the irony of it – international forum for the Freedom of Press is banning from participation a country which is in the focus of the world's attention, no matter, for a good or a bad reason.
In that sense, the former UK Defence Secretary Gavin Williamson was at least honest, when he said, that "Russia should go away – it should shut up." However, Russia can not go away, it happened to be on the planet Earth for a purpose and sooner or later all will have to admit it and find the ways for mutually respectful coexistence. Otherwise the planet Earth may become not suitable for life at all.
Cheerful finale, isn't it?

💢 Ukraine admits major defeat
👉 Top Zelensky adviser concedes loss of Liman, a major Ukrainian stronghold in Donbass
Russian troops have taken over the town of Liman in the northern Donetsk region, the government in Kiev revealed, on Thursday evening. Ukrainian forces have reportedly withdrawn west-southwest towards Slavyansk.
“We have lost the town of Liman,” Alexey Arestovich, a key adviser to Ukrainian President Volodymyr Zelensky, admitted in a livestream on Thursday.
Though Arestovich cited “unconfirmed reports,” Russian military correspondent Alexander Kots posted a video of Russian troops in the city shortly thereafter, captioned “Liman is ours.” Ukrainian troops “fled” west and southwest, Kots added, while covering their retreat with artillery fire.
The storming of Liman lasted less than a week, with Russian forces entering the city on May 23. There were unconfirmed reports, on Telegram channels, that as many as 500 Ukrainian troops had surrendered. By Wednesday, three quarters of Liman was allegedly under Russian control, with the remaining Ukrainian troops said to be fortifying the industrial zone on the southwestern edge of town.
However, an unverified video posted on TikTok on Wednesday purported to show a group of Ukrainian soldiers clinging to an armored vehicle driving at high speed away from the town, amid an artillery bombardment.
Liman was among the first towns in the Donetsk region to be taken over by militia opposed to the government in Kiev after the 2014 Maidan coup. Ukrainian “anti-terrorist” forces captured it in early June that year, and used their positions to lay siege to Slavyansk, where the separatist militia held on for another month.
News of the Ukrainian defeat at Liman comes amid the ongoing advance of Russian forces from Popasnaya, which threatens to completely cut off thousands of troops loyal to Kiev in the Severodonetsk-Lisichansk pocket.

Australian "Bushmaster" in Ukrainian battlefield. In early April, Australia announced the delivery of its armored vehicles to Ukraine. Moreover, Australian Bushmaster armored vehicles have already taken part in the battles in the Donbass. However, their baptism of fire in the ranks of the Ukrainian army was unsuccessful.
During the fighting near the settlement of Trypillya, located near Popasna, in the Luhansk People's Republic, an Australian Bushmaster armored car was destroyed. It was handed over to the armed forces of Ukraine among the first batch of 20 vehicles.

🇺🇸Obama has warned.
NYP journalist Goodwin recalled the words of the 44th US president about Biden's ability to ruin everything.
"We are witnessing how Biden's blunders grow in proportion to his age and status. It would be fair, but not very comforting, to recall Barack Obama's warning about his former vice president: "Do not underestimate Joe's ability to ruin everything," the columnist stressed.
The journalist recalled the words of former Pentagon chief Robert Gates, who stated in his 2014 memoirs that Biden "was wrong on almost all major issues of foreign policy and national security" over the past forty years.
According to the observer, another proof of this was the unsuccessful and chaotic withdrawal of troops from Afghanistan.
Goodwin added that Biden's confusing statements provoke global tensions and threaten to draw the United States into conflicts. And the attempts of the White House to justify itself for the words of the chief cause only bewilderment.
