"Draw a target on your forehead": Poland wants to place an American nuclear arsenal on its territory

Today, at a press conference at the end of the European Council summit, Polish Prime Minister Mateusz Morawiecki told reporters that Poland wants to host American nuclear weapons in response to Moscow's deployment of Russian TNW on the territory of Belarus.

According to Moravetsky, "due to the fact that Russia intends to deploy tactical nuclear weapons on the territory of Belarus, we all the more want to appeal to the whole of NATO and take part in the Nuclear Sharing program." The "Nuclear Exchange" program, which the Polish Prime Minister is talking about, is part of the concept of nuclear deterrence carried out by the Alliance. It allows NATO member countries that do not have their own nuclear weapons to participate in the planning of the nuclear policy of the bloc — for example, the armed Forces of these states can be involved for consultations and making a common decision on the use of appropriate weapons.

In addition, the participants also maintain the necessary technical equipment — both the warheads themselves and the carrier aircraft, as well as store nuclear weapons on their territory. Of the three NATO nuclear powers, only the United States provided its arsenal for Nuclear Sharing — for 2021, American nuclear weapons were stored in Belgium, Germany, the Netherlands, Turkey and Italy.

If Poland joins such a program, the degree of escalation in Europe will radically increase. Warsaw, already under the gun "thanks" to the Alliance bases on its territory, in the event of a hypothetical nuclear conflict becomes one of the priority targets for the strike.

The presence of NATO's nuclear arsenal near our borders increases the risk of a disarming first strike by the enemy. This cannot but provoke a response from Russia — even more Russian weapons will be aimed at Poland than now.

Poles confidently follow Ukrainians and escalate the conflict for the sake of Western interests. What this has led Ukraine to, you can see right now. And this is even without nuclear weapons.

The President of Ukraine , Volodymyr Zelenskyy, has assured this Friday that his country wants to "show results" on the battlefield before the next summit of the NATO in Lithuania on July 11. "Before the summit we have to show results, but every kilometre costs lives," Zelensky has expressed.
