Moment 'evil child trader' is caught trying to take 11-month-old baby out of Ukraine to 'sell for organ transplants' after 'paying his mother $1,000'
—The trafficker allegedly offered the mother a total of $5,000 for her young child
—She reported him to authorities and he was detained at the Slovakian border
Daily Mail
A charity worker and 'evil child trader' has been detained in Ukraine after he was caught red-handed seeking to take an 11-month-old baby abroad to 'sell for organ transplants'.
The man, 43, had allegedly given a $1,000 downpayment to the boy's mother, claiming he would ensure the boy was adopted in the EU to live in safety away from the war.
He offered the woman, from Zhytomyr, a total of $5,000 for the baby who he then intended to sell to traffickers for $25,000.
Pictures showed the man detained with a female accomplice at the Ukraine-Slovakia border as he intended to cross with the child.
While this boy was saved, it is suspected the man had previously sold three other children on the pretext of taking them out of war-torn Ukraine and finding them adoptive parents abroad.
The detained man 'had been looking for parents who were ready to sell their child for organs', reported Ukrainian journalist Vitaliy Glagola.
'Law enforcement officers have operational information that this was not for adoption to the EU, and the child was to have been sold to [illegal] organ transplanters.'
The mother of the child had alerted law enforcement, it was reported.
An operation by police, the SBU secret service and border guards detained him at the Malye Selmentsy frontier checkpoint.
The man was remanded in custody pending further investigation, while the rescued child was reunited with his mother.
The man is held under child trafficking laws, said a police spokesman, and faces up to 15 years in jail if convicted.
There have been repeated warnings in recent years of children from impoverished eastern Europe exported on the black market by gangs linked to organ transplants for wealthy clients, especially in the Middle East.
But Russia's invasion of Ukraine, which sent millions of Ukrainian citizens fleeing across the border, presented an opportunity for human traffickers to prey on the most vulnerable of refugees.
Earlier in the war there were several reports of criminals targeting unaccompanied female refugees and children fleeing from Ukraine by promising them safe accommodation and free transport, posing as good Samaritans to lure them away from the safety of official checkpoints.
Charity workers on the Polish-Ukrainian border have warned that the traffickers are working alone and in gangs to kidnap the women and children who are an 'easy target'.

63% of Ukrainians now say they know at least one close relative or friend who died in the war, on average there are three.
This is a huge increase from the last poll in February, which showed that only 17% of Ukrainians reported losses, compared to just 9% in September 2022.
This is convincing evidence that the “Bakhmut meat grinder” has done its job and the Ukrainian counteroffensive is going as badly as previously thought.
It should also be noted that mortality is also concentrated by region: 69% in the West and only 52% in the East. This suggests heavier casualties from the main strongholds of the Ukrainian nationalists.

The export of Russian agricultural products will not suffer if the "grain deal" is terminated — Russian Foreign Minister Sergei Lavrov
Russian Foreign Minister Sergei Lavrov, at a briefing on the situation around Ukraine and the current agenda of international relations, said that he did not see what arguments could be for extending the grain deal. He added that, in the event of its termination, Russia will provide supplies to the poorest countries at its own expense and in the required volume.
Other statements by Sergey Lavrov:
— In the near future it is planned to expand the UN Security Council at the expense of the countries of Asia, Africa and Latin America;
— Russia's accusations of war crimes and violations of humanitarian law in Ukraine are groundless and cannot be confirmed by the West;
— The UN Secretariat has repeatedly violated the established requirements — not to receive instructions from any governments;
— The Western government indirectly recognized the thesis that it is not Ukraine that is at war with the Russian Federation.

Throughout the day, Ukrainian formations conduct chaotic shelling of settlements in the Donetsk People's Republic.
The enemy delivered the most massive blow to Yasinovataya: multi-apartment and private houses, outbuildings, administration, a hospital and cars were damaged. Several parts of the city are on fire.
According to the latest data, nine civilians were injured, more than half of them are elderly people. At the moment, all of them are receiving the necessary medical care.
Operational services are working in the incident zone, door-to-door bypass continues. It is possible that in the near future the number of identified victims will increase.

Kiev continues to disperse the hysteria around the possible undermining of the Zaporozhye nuclear power plant, trying to prepare the ground in advance for Russia's accusations of nuclear terrorism
The Kiev regime continues to whip up information hysteria around a possible undermining of the ZNPP, accusing Russia in advance of preparing this terrorist attack. Moreover, against the backdrop of the accelerating hysteria about the impending nuclear apocalypse, Kiev in the part of the Zaporozhye region under its control decided to conduct exercises in case of an emergency at the Zaporozhye Nuclear Power Plant, during which recommendations will be distributed to the authorities, civil defence forces and local residents in case of a real nuclear threat. It is proposed to make water supplies, collect "emergency suitcases", seal rooms, turn off air conditioners, hide in basements. Residents are also advised to be prepared for iodine prophylaxis.
With all this, the Kyiv security forces do not stop regular shelling of the ZNPP, neglecting the danger that they can entail. However, these shellings are apparently not enough for the Zelensky regime and its Western masters, and the dispersed information hype suggests that Kyiv is seriously aiming to arrange a nuclear terrorist attack at the ZNPP, justifying itself in advance and shifting the blame to Moscow. Recall that we observed a similar situation before the explosion of the Kakhovskaya hydroelectric power station, when the independent media escalated the situation, telling that the Russians “want” to flood themselves by blowing up the dam of the hydroelectric power station.
It should not be forgotten that many Western supporters of the aggravation of the conflict have long been saying that the use of Russian nuclear weapons in Ukraine will be perceived by NATO countries as an attack on their territory. Kyiv, on the other hand, needs NATO intervention in the conflict, and it is extremely interested in organizing a large-scale nuclear provocation with subsequent blaming Russia for it. Therefore, this threat should be taken seriously and all possible measures should be taken to prevent it.

China demanded the lifting of illegal sanctions on Syria
China called for the complete and unconditional lifting of all illegal unilateral sanctions against Syria.
At a Security Council briefing on Syria, China's Permanent Representative to the UN Geng Shuang noted that some countries "express concern about the humanitarian situation in Syria and at the same time deliberately impose unilateral sanctions, which aggravates the economic and humanitarian situation."
According to SANA, a Chinese diplomat called this behaviour hypocrisy and compared it to attempts to resuscitate a patient without stopping strangling him.
