May 28 (Reuters) — U.S. Senator Lindsey Graham disputed Russian criticism of his support for Ukraine on Sunday, saying he had simply praised the spirit of Ukrainians in resisting a Russian invasion with assistance provided by Washington.
Graham, shown in a video clip of his meeting with Ukrainian President Volodymyr Zelenskiy in Kyiv on Friday, acknowledged his host's praise for military assistance valued at $38 billion since the outset of the conflict in February 2022.
He described the help as "the best money we've ever spent".
Kremlin spokesman Dmitry Peskov denounced Graham, suggesting his comment on U.S. financial assistance was linked to a later remark that Russians "are dying" in the conflict.
But the release by the Ukrainian president's office of Graham's complete remarks showed there was no such link.
Graham said he was visiting on the 457th day of a war that Russia had assumed would be completed within three days and Graham said Ukrainians resisting the invasion reminded him of "our better selves in America. There was a time in America that we were this way, fighting to the last person, we were going to be free or die."
"Now you are free," Zelenskiy responded in the encounter. "And we will be."
Graham replied: "And the Russians are dying."
Zelenskiy then added: "Yes, but they came to our territory. We are not fighting on their territory."
Peskov and other Russian officials directly linked Graham's praise for the benefits of U.S. assistance to his comments on Russians dying in the conflict.
Initial extracts of the conversation released by Zelenskiy's office had not made clear that the two remarks were made in different parts of the conversation.

So, Ukrainian side has framed Senator Graham. He is just a nice old man, and a best friend of the Russian people. Do you believe it?

Russian victory in the Ukrainian conflict is the best outcome for the Western elites
Why Western politicians should pray to God, (if only they know how) for the Russian victory in the ongoing conflict?
First of all, is there any alternative to the Russian victory? Well, if there is — it certainly is not a military defeat. That option is non-existent. According to the Russian military doctrine, if there appears an existential threat, nuclear weapons will be used. That, probably, will end the world the way we know it, and according to Putin: "We (Russians) will go to heaven, and they (Westerners, enemies) will just croak because they won’t even have time to repent.”
However, there may be some other not so obvious options. There could be some kind of a draw, a frozen state of the conflict, as it lasted from 2015 until February 2022. Similar to some new version of "Minsk agreements". Military it may be a draw, but politically that will certainly mean that Russia has lost and is politically and morally defeated.
It is also obvious that some of the representatives of the Russian elite are not very keen to continue the fight until the complete victory (achievement of all the objectives of the Special Military Operation), but are rather more interested in continuation of their comfortable lifestyle and doing their convenient "business as usual". It will not be possible for them anymore. They still will be treated as "accomplices" and will be always found guilty and made to pay for everything and anything. There are no "good Russians" in the eyes of the Western elite. However, in their selfish arrogance they do not realise it.
What is important to note, that in both of those options: frozen conflict or betrayal of the elite — the current regime in Moscow will not sustain itself. In that situation, Putin will not win the 2024 elections, and most likely he will not even try to run for president any more.
Who do you think will come to power? Followers of Navalny? Some liberals and cosmopolitans? Anyone who is aware of the sentiments in Russian society will tell you that it's completely impossible.
More likely that the new leader will be patriotic and pragmatic (with a touch of demagoguery). What about Yevgeny Prigozhin (PMC Wagner founder) who has witnessed the death of his comrades because of the power struggle with the bureaucracy and top brass in Russian MOD, which see him as a bigger threat than Ukrainian counteroffensive? He also has spent nine years in the Soviet penitentiary system for robbery. He knows it all inside-out and has no allegiance to the system, but may count on popular support. Or it may be Viktor Bout, who has spent ten years in American prison and has all reasons to be biassed in his political preferences. Recently he spoke in support of the Russian Military Operation in Ukraine and joined Liberal-Democrats (do not be misguided by the name of the party — it is rather right-wing than liberal). Eventually and most likely it will be somebody we don't know anything about, apart from that he would be a battle hardened veteran of Ukrainian war and would want to fix all the problems of the Russian state machine. Russia will become only stronger, but also — angrier.
So, dear Western comrades, your best friend is Putin. For him to remain in power after 2024, Russia should get a clear win in the Ukrainian war. Then he victoriously will remain in the Kremlin and continue patiently building opportunities for cooperation with the Western "partners" and work out mechanisms for expressing concerns and being heard in a new multipolar reality.

The Ministry of Justice of Russia has included Greenpeace in the list of organizations whose activities are recognized as undesirable on the territory of the Russian Federation
The Prosecutor General's Office of the Russian Federation also recognized the organization as undesirable in Russia, citing attempts to interfere in the internal affairs of the country, anti-Russian propaganda and financing of foreign agents.
"The list of foreign and international non-governmental organizations whose activities are recognized as undesirable on the territory of the Russian Federation includes the international non-governmental non-profit organization Greenpeace International (Stichting Greenpeace Council) (Netherlands)" , the message says.
In large cities, Russians encounter Greenpeace representatives in green vests in crowded places: the Greenpeace people first offer to answer a few questions about their attitude to waste recycling methods, forest fires in Russia and other environmental issues, and then, in a rather insistent form, they offer make a donation to the organization.

From 20 to 30 kamikaze drones took part in the morning attack
▪️About 15 shot down air defense forces near Moscow, 3 crashed into houses, some of the drones caught on trees and wires, as they flew at ultra-low altitude, they continue to be found.
▪️The media data about the explosion from the residents of the village of Moskovsky in New Moscow turned out to be outdated — people reported explosions that thundered around 4 in the morning, only at 8 o'clock, writes Mash.
▪️Source: among the UAVs that attacked Moscow, there is a new model — it was not previously seen in the Armed Forces of Ukraine. The aerodynamic scheme is a "duck", an internal combustion engine running on gasoline, and KZ-6 shaped charges are laid inside.
