PirateTheNet News - Happy 12th Birthday Pirates New and Old!!!
Holy cow! 12 freaking years!
When we started this ship, way back in 2008, we had one goal in mind: fuck the bullshit, we want to have fun with this hobby! From our choice of name, to our way of approaching promotions, and ratio, to our staff attitude. I have been here since the start, and I have watched this ship from the poop deck, to the captains chair, and even from the shore, and it never ceases to amaZe me how resilient it.
Many many people have worked hard to get this ship where it is, and we thank them all for their input and hard work. Without them, this boat would've sunk long ago, but staff are tough as sea monsters, and smart as a whip, so we keep plowing through the waves. On that note, let me give notice of our new staffers who answered the call when we asked for new blood.
****** is a fine young cannibal who likes long shambles through the countryside, looking for a fine set of brains... he knows the charleston and the mash potato, and will waltz you into the ground if you mess with him, so swabbies beware!
******, well, he's a sheep obviously, but he makes a mighty fine sweater! he likes to knit, and he's fond of greens at dinner, but not above a little protein when the boss isn't watching. He's built ram tough, so ewe better watch out or you'll get headbutted...
These dudes are kicking tail behind the scenes, so give them a hug the next time you see them!(if they'll let you...) They handled a hugely successful new member influx with class and style, which leads me to the next update.
We have a "few" new folks to welcome aboard. We processed a total of some 600+ applications, and got a lot of promising new members, so if you see a swabbie today, give them a noogie and throw them some love. If you are one of them, don't be scared to grab a movie and maybe a chat.
Ok, what birthday would be complete without some games and contests. Keep you eyes peeled over the next day or two as we roll them out!
I know times are scary right now, but it shouldn't stop us from enjoying a movie or few.

Norbits News - Corona
Google translate:
We help where we can.
As long as the country is in the state we are in now, we will be running freeleech.
This is to help people stay entertained at home, rather than leaving the house.
In order for this to be no celebration, we also halved the upload.
That is, for every 10 GB you download, 0 GB counts in your ratio in the negative direction.
For every 10 GB you upload, 5 GB counts in your ratio in the positive direction.

Retroflix News - Coronavirus, COVID-19 - Freeleech during this Pandemic
Dear Retros,
Surely you all know the latest news about what's happening on Earth these days. This situation is completely out of control. The Coronavirus COVID-19 keeps advancing and making casualties worldwide.
Please, under no circumstances should you ignore the authorities!
As a family, we wish for all of us to be and stay healthy.
A few tips and some advice from us about how to protect yourself :
Avoiding close contact with people suffering from acute respiratory signs.
Wash your hands after contact with other people, objects, money.
Use the appropriate clothing including masks if in contact with sick people.
Restrict travel to areas with confirmed cases and follow directions of authorities.
Go to a health center if you experience symptoms of flu or virus.
Keep accessible hygiene wipes of alcohol and anti-bacterial products in your pocket.
Most importantly, keep yourselves healthy by listening carefuly to those advice, because by doing this you are keeping others healthy as well.
Why do we fear outbreaks of Viruses?
We never know the specifics of a new virus.
News media publicizes the situation before the medical world can assess the severity of the virus.
Antibiotics do not affect or protect from viruses.
The symptoms of most viruses at first are mild and vague before they become severe.
The virus becomes a “runaway train” and will affect the weak and sick quickly.
If you or your family have been infected, try to stay calm and positive (no pun intended). The Retro Family is with you, fighting and standing side by side, because together we will emerge victorious one more time. Humanity always does! We always win no matter what! No matter how dark the days are, no matter how hard it could get, in the end WE WILL MOVE FORWARD!
Our thoughts and prayers are with everyone infected and/or affected by this situation.
The good thing about this Pandemic is that we can be together here, on RetroFlix.
So let's get downloading them movies and start watching anything you like since we have to stay home for the next few weeks.
FREELEECH ENABLED UNTIL THIS SITUATION IS OVER!
Feel free to comment anything about this situation, and send your thoughts and prayers to those affected here.
