Tomorrow is Halloween, and I'm not ready. Nothing is planned, no costumes, no decorations, you know how it goes.
There’s always that mix of excitement and chaos that somehow makes the holiday even more thrilling. But every time I think back to the past 5 years, I get goosebumps.
We were walking with our friends, laughing, taking pictures, enjoying the night. And then we came to this old house at the end of a quiet street.
At first, it was scary, like abandoned houses. But, I noticed something moving inside. There were no shadows from the streetlights, it seemed like someone or something was there.
One of us dared to peek through the cracked window, and we all got goosebumps. No one was there, but suddenly the door opened on its own and there was a creaking sound.
My stomach was also getting hungry. We all laughed excitedly and tried to make sense, but we all felt fear, our hearts pounding, our skin tingling. We didn't stay long, long enough to forget.
We were shaking and laughing as we left, but that moment really stuck with me, it was so intense that it was one of those Halloween memories that made me realize which way I was going.
