A small drama sparked on Sasha Notcoin’s Twitter. As always, those tweets are pure entertainment: from self-praise to accusing TON Foundation of building communism.

So, what actually happened — and why did sticker prices drop by ~20%? Let’s unpack...

The trigger was TON Foundation announcing their own sticker store. Right now we have Sticker Pack, StickerX and soon there’ll also be Fuse by TON Foundation.
Sasha’s reaction was this tweet:

That instantly reminded me of my old post on Not Pixel manipulations [link].

I’m not dismissing his whole tweet, but there are clear exaggerations and spin here too:
• Sasha didn’t launch the sticker narrative. Stickers have been in Telegram since 2015. If we’re talking NFT stickers — Durov mentioned them back in 2024. Sasha built a platform on pure belief that the tech would catch up, and became a promoter of the narrative, but definitely not the creator.
• The claims about who exactly he brought to the space can’t be confirmed or denied. What I can say for sure is that TON Foundation was heavily involved. Some brands were brought in by the sticker store itself, others followed after the Penguins.
• “TF is taking over the business” — come on. The sticker store had a monopoly for 8 months. Nobody’s taking it away. It’s still Sasha’s, just now he has real competition. This reads more like frustration at no longer being the biggest player in the room.

Moreover, he wrote this:

but I'd suggest to avoid building on TON for anyone who value their time

That’s basically blockchain terrorism at this point. What’s next, Sasha moving his stickers to SUI? Kaito, Abstract, Arbitrum… god forbid Starknet? Who would even need them there — maybe just Kaito at best.

Competition is always a good thing. I honestly don’t get how TF’s store supposedly threatens Sasha’s. Why can’t they just coexist and compete side by side?

Should you buy stickers on the dip or sell with the crowd? Can’t say for sure.
I’m not selling. I think it’s fine — we’ll just see another platform for primary sticker launches.
The NFT sticker contract standard exists on-chain. What matters is support from Telegram. And at that point, it won’t matter if they come from Sticker Pack, StickerX, or anywhere else — they’ll all work under that standard.

This week’s update, according to devs, fixed performance issues on many devices. So if the game lagged for you before — give it another try now.

New skins are also live. The 50/50 Legendary ones sold out almost instantly, but the Epic skins are still up and plentiful. I like this Epic one a lot, so I’ll be grinding to stack up 1M spheres to grab it. Reminder: you can earn up to 200,000⚪ per day.

The new track is pretty simple, with just a 1.2x multiplier — personally I’d rather stick to other maps.

❄️ Fuse’s first stickers

These are from Ton Foundation’s sticker store — the very same one Sasha Notcoin was fuming about last week [post].

There were only 1000 stickers, minting was free (aside from ~0.1 TON in fees), but it was gated: only holders of durev, REDO, or FISH tokens could mint. And not just any amount — you had to hold at least 0.01% of total supply (for durev that was around $120 at the time).

Now they’re trading for 50 TON on Getgems.

What I don’t quite get is how they tie into my Telegram and blockchain — and whether they’ll vanish from my account if I sell them.

The pack itself is a bit questionable too, since the durev stickers are just a rehash of an old existing pack.

I get it — test launch, checking mechanics, all that. But from the outside it really looks like pumping half-dead memes, which is… weird, given TF is behind it. With durev, early minters basically offloaded tokens onto the later ones. In under an hour the token spiked +25% and then dumped -33%.

I didn’t manage to sell my pack at the local peak (75–80 TON), so I’m holding. Something tells me these same memes could later drop some tokens. Or maybe the pack ends up being a WL ticket for future mints. That OG badge has to mean something, right?⛽️

Gift upgrade system changes

Telegram is testing a new upgrade model on the test server. Info is scattered and sometimes contradictory, but all explanations point to the same outcome: Telegram’s cut from upgrades will be higher, and it will take longer for prices to drop to the minimum.

1. Upgrade cost depends on both time and the number of upgrades already made, adjusting in % terms (this seems the most reasonable explanation).
2. Example: if a gift has 1000 supply, the first 500 upgrades drop faster (~10⭐️/hour), while the remaining 500 decline slower (~2⭐️/hour).
3. Prices change by ~0.4%–0.7% every minute (varies by gift).
4. Each subsequent upgrade price decreases by a % equivalent, calculated as: initial upgrade price ÷ total supply.

On the one hand, this is positive: gifts will drip into the market more gradually, potentially supporting higher prices. On the other, the “wait a day and upgrade at the floor” strategy won’t work anymore.
