3. Galaxies with Matter now generate a random amount of it per minute. There will be more Matter galaxies than in the beta season.

In short — they've added sales statistics per collection, not just transaction history.

On one hand, that’s awesome — this kind of data simply doesn’t exist on most other off-chain gift marketplaces. On the other hand, it’s not very helpful yet.
Right now, the price and trading volume are shown on the same axis, which flattens the price graph into a horizontal line. It’s impossible to read. Either give us the option to view price and volume separately, or add a second Y-axis just for price. Seems like an obvious fix.

The image shows the 7-day chart for 🎁 Heart Locket — but it’s basically unreadable 😔

Still, this is a great step. Gift marketplaces are slowly becoming real marketplaces — with proper tools for evaluating assets. Hopefully we’ll see more smart infographics added to Portals soon, so we won’t need to rely on third-party tools.

🎁 What are Telegram gifts and why do they have value?

At their core, gifts are animated cards that you can send to other users. But on top of that, Telegram added mechanics inspired by loot boxes, card collections, and cases. Plus, these gifts are tradable. So they’re no longer just digital postcards — they’re collectible digital assets.

Telegram gifts are generative, meaning each gift has three traits randomly assigned during the upgrade process. Though users sometimes question just how random it really is. For example: 💍 Bondend Ring #666 or 🎁 Big Year #1989. But occasionally the algorithm does produce real gems — like 💐 Lush Bouquet Lavender.

So what’s the utility here?
At the base level — pure flex. People build creative profiles filled with unique gifts. Some collect gifts that all share the same background. Others try to grab as many copies of a specific model as possible. Some match colors between gift and background, and some even buy gifts that match their birth year. There are no rules — it’s all about expression.

Besides flexing, there are exclusive communities for holders of certain gifts. You may have heard of the private Plush Pepe holders chat. But there are also gated chats for other collections — even specific gift models.

And beyond that, some gifts can be staked to earn crypto while you hold them. For instance, Tonnel has lots of staking pools. Or you can stake any gift in Rolls.

Some games are even building mechanics around Telegram gifts.

At the end of the day, Telegram gifts aren’t just postcards — they’re digital assets that offer value for collectors, self-expression, and yes — profit.

Right now, out of 70+ collections, none have a floor below the original purchase price — except maybe B-Day Candle and Homemade Cake (500k supply, 350–500 stars each), which are at 0.61x and 0.72x. But that’s just floor prices. If you buy multiple gifts, you’ll almost certainly land something above floor. Honestly, it was clear from the start that those two weren’t good bets.
