🪙 How NotPixel Beat Starknet and zkSync (Apparently)

Yesterday Not Pixel dropped a bunch of posts hyping up how massively it's "recovering" alongside the rest of the TON-native, ahem, tokens. They threw in some EVM network comparisons, blamed the market, and once again reminded us that CEXs are overrated. A lot of folks in our chat (myself included) were pretty annoyed by how textbook —and shameless — some of these manipulations were.

Manipulation 1: Selective Positivity

They showed ATH → ATL and ATL → Today numbers to flex how far the token has climbed since the dip.
What they didn’t show: how far we still are from ATH, how long the recovery took, or any market context like trading volume, market cap, etc. Basically, a chart with just the pretty parts.

Manipulation 2: Devaluing Others to Look Better

Then came the comparison to STRK, OP, ZK, and ZRO. Which is hilariously bad.
For example: — OP hit 3-4x its listing price multiple times and is currently up 81% from ATL.
— ZRO is up 84% from ATL and just ~19% down from its listing price.

So Not Pixel tries to frame its own decline as just part of a natural market cycle... while dragging down other projects that’ve actually held up better.
And let’s not forget — Aside from Notcoin, pretty much none of the previously mentioned TON tokens ever traded above their listing price. (Okay, maybe DOGS did — slightly, and only for a couple of days.)

But hey, why those projects specifically? Can I pick a few tokens too?

Let’s try this: I looked at listing price ⇢ current price (so it’s not too painful for NotPixel), and here’s how they stack up:

— DOT +95.1%
— MNT +35.8%

Yeah... those numbers are a bit inconvenient. And I’m not even bringing up their ATHs yet!

Manipulation 3: Blame the Circumstances

Look, I’m not arguing the market’s in a rough spot. But it’s kind of wild hearing how Not Pixel complain about the market —especially when their own decisions have hit the miniapp scene like friendly fire.

Manipulation 4: Devaluing What Doesn’t Exist

Once again, they remind us that listings aren’t necessary. Totally unnecessary noise. It’s all part of the master strategy. We remember 👀

Manipulation 5: Moral Superiority

The final paragraph about how they’re "builders who ignore the market" was honestly my favorite part. They’re building so hard that three months in, they finally managed to release staking. Are you impressed? Their building style gives them an edge! 😢

To be clear — I’m not saying one token is better or worse than another.
I’m just showing how weak these kinds of takes really are. They paint no real picture. It’s empty number-flexing, and it’s so laughable that I’m honestly out of words. Watching Sasha Notcoin drop these manipulative hot takes with a straight face is just... whew.

They’re calling $CATTEA a gamified stablecoin pegged to the real dollar value.

It means I basically earned $2 today just for playing a game of mahjong? (Okay, and watching an ad to double the win.)

Honestly, sounds pretty great to me, especially considering the game takes not much time and zero money. If you’re into mahjong, this is a great game for you. I’ve already seen screenshots in our chat showing people with over 100 million.

The total token value in the top 10 alliances is around $4.3M — with about $3.5M of that across the 🪙 Catizen, 🪙 Cattea and 🪙 Bombie alliances. As of April 13, 5 trillion $CATTEA had been mined ($5,000,000).

The only thing I’m still unsure about is this 🪙$BTcat, they mentioned — it’s pegged to the price of BTC, and there are messages floating around like “5T $CATTEA = ? $BTCat.”
So are we getting the stablecoin, or is it going to be swapped into $BTCat? Maybe it’ll all become some kind of trading game?

Many missed out on staking last time — turns out those were just tests. Now staking is officially live, and they've expanded the pool and raised the limits. You can now stake up to 10,000 PX.

The estimated APY is 24% (it was 60% last week), and the staking period is 90 days.

Good news: your APY rate is fixed once you stake — meaning if you managed to stake in a higher rate earlier, it won’t change. They say this is to reward early stakers, and honestly, that’s the fair way to do it.

As usual, they’re also encouraging people to buy more PX, hinting that a new season is coming. And for the strongest PX believers, they’re preparing a special staking pool with higher APY than the regular one:

We’re also cooking up special high-APY pools for real PX holders. These will become available once 🌟 Holder Levels are introduced in-game – a system based on real-time on-chain data (how much PX you hold in your wallet and how long you’ve been holding it). You know what to do.

You can’t just upgrade the mining time — it increases automatically based on this formula:

month = (date - profile.date) / 30)

MIN means the smallest of the three values: month, stars, and 5.

So the longer you’ve been playing and the more star you’ve collected, the longer your mining session lasts.

Yesterday, Telegram quietly rolled out the ability to list gifts for sale directly from your profile. I missed the update at first — the option isn’t available on desktop yet, and on mobile it’s tucked away in a spot you’d never accidentally stumble upon.

How to list a gift for sale:
Go to your profile → Tap on the gift → Sell → Set your price.

How to buy a listed gift:
The same way you usually send gifts: Settings → Send a Gift → Choose a recipient.
Now there’s a new Resale tab with handy filters (like on Fragment).

All sales are made for stars. Keep in mind: you only get 80% of the listed price. Sale notifications come from Telegram itself, stars land in your balance instantly, and your history logs the buyer and transaction ID.

Pros:
- Super convenient — no need to send anything manually, just list straight from your profile
- A gift can be both pinned in your profile and listed for sale at the same time

Cons:
- 20% commission
- Personally, I’m not a fan of star-based trades, and with a 20% cut, I definitely won’t be selling here

It’s actually more convenient for buyers, and pricing is similar to other platforms. For example, the floor price for the Silver Easter Egg is the same as on Tonnel. There are fewer listings for now, but I expect that’ll change soon.

I’ll likely use both the TG marketplace and options from this guide [click] for buying. But for selling? Still sticking with Tonnel.

It seemed reasonable to expect that Telegram’s built-in marketplace would protect users from things like that. But turns out, there are already cases where a refund happens, and the buyer ends up with no stars and no gift. And there are even reports of purchases going through at three times the listed price due to a Telegram glitch.

So yeah, right now it’s all pretty raw, and clunky. Personally, I won’t be buying anything there yet, let alone selling with a 20% fee.

Also, telegram released an update for desktops, so now you can access TG Marketplace from PC version too 👀

Fun fact: Tonnel has already integrated this marketplace. There’s a separate filter where you can select TG Marketplace and buy gifts with TON instead of stars.
But I won’t be using that either — for now. Let Telegram fix their stuff first...
