The Top 1% Trading Edge pinned ยซ๐Ÿ’ฐWELCOME TO THE EXCLUSIVE "TOP 1% EDGE" CHANNEL! ๐Ÿ’ฐ Who is this for? Any Forex/crypto trader from any country with any starting bankroll who wants to join that 1% who find their own edge in the markets and profit where the 99% fails. What will you learn?โ€ฆยป
If I had to name only ONE mistake that 99% of traders are making

that, if fixed, would see the most immediate ROI...

...it would be that

Everybody is following the masses!

People want to become traders so they spend hours on Youtube watching gurus with trending videos of 100k-1M views.

"Hmmmm, one of the most popular indicators I see is RSI. Great, I'll use RSI too!"

"Wait, this guru said all indicators suck and we should just follow price action? Awesome, fuck all indicators, let me learn price action."

This pattern repeats itself over and over again.

Everybody sees the stats that 95%+ of all retail traders lose money and quit within the first few months,

yet these are the same people that beginners listen to for advice.
A good rule of thumb:

Anything that's popular and recommended by the masses in the Forex or crypto world...

...is best to avoid completely.

Are there exceptions to this rule?

Of course.

But in general, for the 99% of you, if you follow this advice you'll avoid most of the bad approaches, indicators, and methods that flush everybody else's money down the drain.

So what's the opposite? What should you DO instead?

The answer: Find your trading EDGE.

That's what this channel is and will be all about.

More lessons and actionable advice to come. Stay tunedโ€ฆ

There's a common misconception in trading that

"Losses are part of the game"

Now here's the deal:

Is this statement completely wrong? No.

But the way most people interpret it is way off.

What TYPES of losses?

And WHAT makes them part of the game and what EXACT game is that?

Watch this video closely:
๐Ÿ‘2
"There's no damage in taking a managed loss."

MANAGED is the key word.

If you took a loss or a few in a row because you followed your system to a T and applied your risk management rules...

...those losses ARE part of the game.

But if they put you into a negative emotional spiral, and as a result, you end up taking a BIG trade (way above your standard position size to "revenge trade")

And you lose?

THAT loss is not and should never be chalked up to "just part of the game".

I have talked a lot (and will continue to) about perspective, how to interpret different statements, how to speak and think about yourself and your trading, etc.

Many traders consider this useless and just skip straight to learning "price action" or looking up "which indicator is the best".

But all the top traders?

They constantly correct themselves in how they perceive the trading game and what language they use when analyzing it.

Everybody has their favorite quotes, mantras, "words to live by", etc.

Traders are no different.

Make sure you don't get duped by listening and repeating correct statements yet interpreting them incorrectly.

That's where most fail.

And itโ€™s where you have a chance to win BIG if you get it right.

The Best Traders Embrace Uncertainty. And You Should Too.

Lemme ask you a question:

All the "Top 1%" traders we look up to and strive to become:

Do they have some secret uncanny God-like ability to predict price movement?

Fuck no

They do have a secret though:

And it lies in their ability to embrace uncertainty

+

having a methodical way of dealing with any scenario on the charts.

There is a bullish and bearish argument for every single currency and trade you take.

Your system just leans closer to one side over the other.

But it's not (and never will be) an infallible crystal ball.

So do NOT be one of those who fall into the trap of seeking out false narratives (about the market) that give you certainty!

The more you leave the door open for the market to prove you wrong, the more emotionally stable you'll remain and the easier it'll be to manage risk.

Most people who are "control freaks" look at it as a badge of honor.

But it isn't.

Those who constantly blow their accounts to 0 and can't stick to a single system for any meaningful amount of time?

Yep, ALL control freaks.

So if you chose trading as your path to riches, NOW is the best time to burn that trait to the ground! Quickly and viciously.

And instead, rewire the way you think and feel when looking at that MetaTrader dashboard.

An Unconventional "Do Nothing" Technique That Will Make You A Better Trader

We live in a fast world.

News moving at a breakneck pace, everybody's chasing money, tons of new content published online every second, opportunities coming and going...

And as a result, everybody's addicted to constant dopamine hits.

The worst part?

All these sensations and dopamine desires are non-stop every second you're awake.

Even when you're not on your phone.

Try thinking of something else during your trading session, going back in memories or something...

and next thing you know, you're removing your SL or doubling your lot size.

Ooops!

All downhill from there.

The solution?
The Do-Nothing Exercise

Sit in front of your trading charts.

Straight posture.

Now let your attention and imagination go wild.

Think about anything you want, the craziest 1:50 RRR winning trade, the worst possible loss... anything.

BUT

Notice when your attention goes there and view yourself from a 3rd person perspective.

Do NOT be captured by those thoughts. Just let them run while you observe and stay neutral.

For some of you, this may sound weird and uncertain at first.

Practice it a few times and what you'll find is that you slowly become immune to any thoughts and distractions as you trade.

Will they still appear in your mind?

Of course.

But they'll only be weak noise in the background that cannot stop you from following your plan, no matter what.

Just pure calm, focus, and ruthless pursuit of trading profits.
๐Ÿ”ฅ7
The bad part about this exercise?

It takes time.

No matter how long you've traded, pretty much everybody is easily addictied to these dopamine hits these days.

And it takes a lot of practice to un-learn these entrenched habits.

You could learn and practice it all on your own... OR have someone who's mastered this aspect of the game, trade for you - risk free.

More on that tomorrow...
Any questions about this or anything trading-related?

How A Single Trade Setup on XAUUSD Made Over 10% on a $200k Prop Firm Challenge ๐Ÿ†

What charts I looked at.

How I decided to enter.

How I managed the trade.

How I closed.

Letโ€™s go! ๐Ÿš€
Some of my strategies work very well with XAUUSD.

I like it cause it's a highly liquid pair with volatile moves on pretty much any trading day of the week.

So I pulled up the chart.

What made this particular trade opportunity so appealing was the following:

1) I saw my market sentiment indicator showing that the retail "herd" was mostly long on average

(i.e. the herd is usually wrong so the market will likely go short)

2) Noticed that Gold fell through below my EMA on the H1 timeframe & had a slightly bearish outlook on H4 too.
๐Ÿ‘4
๐Ÿ‘6
Once I saw a small break of the support zone on H1, that was enough of my entry criteria to make me decide to go in a SELL trade.

Quickly glanced at the M15 timeframe to find a higher point of entry and opened the trade.
