Neurologist Rebecca Saxe created an MRI image of a mother kissing her two-month-old son. The lips placed on the little child's forehead immediately triggers a reaction in his brain. Dopamine is released, which gives him the feeling of well-being, but also oxytocin, namely the "love hormone", responsible for affection and attachment.
Kissing causes a chemical reaction in his brain. An "explosion" of oxytocin, called the "hormone of love", is triggered. It reduces fear and increases confidence, arouses feelings of affection and belongingnes, a sign that the baby has learned that is protected. The baby LEARNS through feelings produced by the chemical reactions in his brain generated by his MOTHER's feelings. Serotonine and Dopamine is released, which makes him feel good, and vasopressin, the "binder" that binds mothers to babies in the first months of their lives.
