The FBI has arrested a suspect involved in the theft of $46 million in cryptocurrency from wallets linked to U.S. authorities ❗️

According to the FBI, John Dagita was detained after previously being linked to the theft of tens of millions of dollars in crypto from wallets controlled by the U.S. government.

Dagita is the son of the head of Command Services & Support (CMDSS). In 2024, the company received a contract from the United States Marshals Service to manage seized crypto assets.

An analyst previously claimed that Dagita could be responsible for stealing at least $40 million in cryptocurrency held under U.S. government control.

He was reportedly identified after a public dispute with another hacker on Telegram, where he posted a video showing a $23 million transfer between his own wallets.

According to FBI Director Kash Patel, Dagita was arrested on the island of Saint Martin during a joint operation between the Federal Bureau of Investigation and an elite unit of the French National Gendarmerie. 🚨
