We play the same game with conditions all our lives.
“I will be happy when I buy that very house.”
“I will calm down when people around me start behaving correctly.”
“I will find harmony when the required amount appears in my bank account.”
You put forward ultimatum after ultimatum to reality. But as soon as reality fulfills one condition, your mind instantly comes up with ten new ones. It's an endless blackmail spiral in which you never win.
“Happiness begins not when you get what you want, but when you no longer have the need to demand anything from this world.”
Buddha called this liberation from tanha - insatiable thirst and claims to existence. Suffering does not come from the lack of things, but from our conviction that the world should provide them to us.
What happens when you make demands:
• You become vulnerable. Reality doesn't have to live up to your expectations. Every “it should be this way” turns into a potential blow to your psyche.
• You are losing the Present. Constantly

• You become vulnerable. Reality doesn't have to live up to your expectations. Every “it should be this way” turns into a potential blow to your psyche.
• You are losing the Present. Constantly
waiting for “better conditions” devalues the only moment where you really live.
• You confuse pleasure and peace. Getting what you want gives a short burst of dopamine, but does not bring deep silence. True peace comes only when the thirst itself subsides.
The world owes nothing to anyone: no justice, no comfort, no ideal people nearby. And there is no cruelty in this - this is the highest wisdom and freedom.
How to stop demanding?
- Change the setting. Replace the internal demand “The world should be different” with the fact: “The world is exactly like this now. What do I choose to do with it?
- Stop haggling. Accept things as they are before your mind has time to label them as “right” or “wrong.”
- Let go of the leash. Allow life to flow without your constant micromanagement and complaints.
Happiness is not a reward for successfully completing a bucket list. Happiness is what remains when you finally stop fighting reality.

Don't judge
The tendency to blame other people for something is developed in a person no less easily than the vicious habit of complaining about circumstances. We are used to criticizing people for the way they eat or speak. We notice the smallest details and see flaws in every little thing. However, whatever we focus our attention on begins to grow. By meticulously examining a person's minor weakness, we begin to perceive it as a serious problem.
Would you like to live in a world where everyone looks, acts and thinks the same as you? You'll get tired of this kind of world very soon. To live a happier and more peaceful life, try to understand that the richness of this world lies in its diversity. People's relationships, their communities, and entire countries become great not because of what we have in common, but because of the differences that make us unique. Why not learn to respect those differences instead of seeing people as targets for criticism?
Usually we find in people the same weaknesses

Usually we find in people the same weaknesses
that we have. Stop blaming and judging. Take full responsibility for what is happening around you, and try to do everything to first of all change yourself, and not wait for changes in your environment. This ability is the main sign of a person with a strong character.
As Erica Jong said, “What happens if we take our lives into our own hands? Something terrible will happen: we will have no one to blame for it.”

Every day of our life becomes a new page.
And only we decide how to fill it: endless complaints about what we lack, or gratitude for what we already have.
Yes, life is not always easy. There are losses, difficulties and days when everything seems to be going wrong. But even then, there is still something to be grateful for: a new dawn, a loved one nearby, the opportunity to start over, to take another step.
Don't let one bad day turn your entire life story into a book of complaints.
Notice the good. Appreciate the present. Give thanks for every new day. After all, it’s days like these that make up your life.

Under no circumstances should you lose hope. The feeling of despair is the true cause of failure. Remember: you can overcome any difficulty. Be calm even when you find yourself in a difficult and confusing situation: it will have little effect on you if your mind is calm. On the contrary, if the mind allows you to be angry, then you will lose peace, even if the world around you is serene and comfortable.

You are not what happened to you. You are what you choose to turn it into
Each of us has gone through moments when it seemed like the world was collapsing. Betrayal, loss, burnout, sudden collapse of plans - these events come uninvited. They leave scars and try to impose a new identity on us: “now you are broken”, “now you are a victim”, “now you should be afraid”.
But pain is just raw material. It is neutral in its essence until you give it form.
Look at this picture. On the left is a clot of darkness: tears, destruction, phantoms of the past and a heaviness that compresses the chest. This is what happened. This is an external reality that cannot be undone.
And in the center is a man in absolute silence. He does not deny the darkness, does not run away from it and does not try to fight with it. He takes it into himself and through conscious breathing, through internal choice, transforms it into light. On the right, a completely different projection is born: warm light, care, smiles, blooming lotuses

What is this alchemy of the spirit?
• Pain is inevitable, but suffering is a choice. Events occur against our will, but the reaction to them always remains in our control.
• Trauma is not a stigma, it is a point of reference. You can carry the shadow of your past all your life as an excuse for your weaknesses. Or you can make it the foundation for incredible inner strength.
• The center of the cyclone is always inside. The outside world may be crumbling, but as long as you have a connection with yourself, you are able to melt any chaos into wisdom.
Darkness and light do not fight each other - they flow into each other through your awareness. Don't let the past dictate who you are today. Take this heaviness, inhale it and exhale light.
You are not your scars. You are the master who creates your future from them.

What can be the antidote to the occurrence of obstacles? At any level, the main tool is mindfulness. One day, a practitioner who was once hit by a car asked my father, Vidyadhara Chögyam Trungpa Rinpoche, why this happened. He imagined that something karmic in his past caused the accident. To his surprise, my father said that he had simply lost his focus.

Your personality is just a collection of old scars that you have become too attached to.
Being stuck in your own self is not being true to yourself. This is the habit of holding on to pain, which has long ceased to be a defense and has become decoration.
We are used to assembling our identity from what broke us. “I’m cautious because I was betrayed,” “I’m tough because life wasn’t kind to me,” “I’m a loner because no one understood.” Every old insult, failure or someone else's injustice turns into beautiful armor over time. We polish these scars, talk about them as badges of honor, and without realizing it, we begin to build our entire lives around them.
But a scar is just a mark from a healed wound. It shows where you have been, not who you are.
When you become too attached to your past traumas, they become a cage instead of a defense. You refuse new chances, relationships and ambitions simply because they do not fit into your usual image of a “life-beaten realist”. You begin to defend your pain, as

Liberation begins the moment you ask yourself one honest question: “Who would I become if I stopped justifying my fears from past experiences right now?”
Scars remind you that you have survived. But living just to show off your marks is too boring a scenario. Take off that outdated armor. There's a lot more living space inside than you might think.

Sometimes an obstacle arises simply because at some point you stopped paying attention.
We often look for deep reasons for what happens: karma, fate, signs, past mistakes. But sometimes the answer is much simpler - we have lost our presence in the present moment.
Mindfulness is more than just concentration. This is the ability to notice what is happening before habitual reactions, haste or inattention lead to consequences.
To be attentive means to see the moment as it is, and not to automatically pass by your own life.

If we saw that a person, instead of covering the roof of his house and putting in windows, every time the rain and wind came, he would go outside and, standing in the wind and rain, would be angry at the clouds and shout at them, ordering one to go to the right, the other to the left, we would probably, having seen such a person, say that he is crazy. And yet we all do this very thing when we are angry about the evil that people do, scolding people, and not caring about eradicating the evil in ourselves. Meanwhile, getting rid of the evil in ourselves - covering our roof, putting in our windows - is in our power, but eradicating evil from the world is as little in our power as controlling the clouds. If people, instead of teaching others, would at least occasionally engage in teaching themselves, there would be less and less evil in the world and it would be easier and easier for people to live.

The bottom line is that we all want happiness and don't want to suffer. Therefore, no matter what we do, whether we believe in karma, reincarnation, etc. or not, we still need to practice moral ethics. No matter how we feel about karma, if we do not think that morality is necessary, then it will naturally lead to unethical behavior, which in turn will bring suffering. This does not refer to philosophies about karma or future lives, but directly concerns our behavior in this life.
Even non-believers need to cultivate patience and compassion. Likewise, non-believers must also practice morality, that is, refraining from harming others. This is the most basic practice. Even in this life, not to mention what results it will bring in the future, if we harm others, it will lead us to terrible consequences, such as bad fame, bad attitude from others, persecution and imprisonment, and many other negative things.
Each of us, believer or not, must lead a life full of morality, that is, not harm others: do not kill,

do not lie, do not steal, and so on. This is the basis. In this way, neither we nor others experience suffering. When we are not harmed, we are happy and then, in turn, we can benefit others more and more. As a result, we become happier, and the same happens to others. We can bring great happiness to everyone around us, our family, country and the world.
