Through the medium of the arts, EUNIC Ethiopia’s “Stations of Culture - Stations of Dialogue” project nurtures dialogue with the purpose of building social cohesion by curating engaging cultural experiences on locations along the Ethio-Djibouti railway line and sites in Central and Northern Ethiopia.

Our artists' projects span the likes of film production, mural art, music, fashion, dance, tattoo art, public sketching, comic book creation and fine art. They will be presenting their final works during the months of April and May in Addis Ababa, Debre Birhan, Mekelle and Dire Dawa.

This multimedia project explores the artforms that emerge along the railway through voices, movements, and expressions from research to creation, they're shaping immersive sound installations and performances that will come alive in Dire Dawa and Addis Ababa.

Get ready, Addis! We're closing things out with a bang! On May 31st at 4PM, at Moseb Cultural Center, a vibrant celebration of art, music, and storytelling in all its forms will take place.

Experience Inner Peace by KATIM, where film and performance turn pain into hope. Witness the bold expressions of Stationed Stories through graffiti and urban art by Ethiopian women artists. Feel the energy of Rockahari’s Ethio-rock concert, and be transported by Agua que Mira, the genre-defying duo blending jazz, classical, and Mediterranean sounds with Portuguese flair. Plus, enjoy a special performance by the Moseb Cultural Music Band.

Art, music, story - all in one night.

CALL FOR PROPOSALS: MOBILITY GRANTS FOR ARTISTS & CULTURAL PROFESSIONALS

Are you an artist or cultural professional in Sub-Saharan Africa or the EU? Apply for Mobility Grant of up to €4,000 under the Africa-Europe Partnerships for Culture: Sub-Saharan Africa Component. The grant is to enable artists from Sub-Saharan Africa to tour the continents and to enter dialogue with the local scenes.

They serve to promote intra-African and intercontinental dialogue, to access new audiences and markets, to promote talents from the region, and to the develop South-South as well as South-North cooperations.

We welcome applications from artists & culture professionals aged 18+ from performing arts, music, literature, film, media arts, cultural heritage, design, architecture or fashion.

The European Union National Institutes for Culture (EUNIC) Cluster in Ethiopia, in collaboration with local partners, is conducting a survey to better understand the current realities, needs, and priorities of artists, collectives, and cultural institutions in Ethiopia.

The purpose of the survey is to identify key sectoral needs, gaps, and opportunities that will inform and guide the development of the next EUNIC Ethiopia Cluster Strategy, a four-year document designed to enable the Cluster to take a long-term perspective, pool resources, and respond more effectively to the specific needs of the local cultural context.

Participation in this survey is voluntary, and all responses will remain completely anonymous. We greatly appreciate your time and valuable contribution and kindly ask that responses be submitted by 16 January 2026.
