If a project is "in full swing," it means that it has been completely started and that it is progressing or moving as fast as it ever will (пер. в разгаре)

✔️Ну, например "to task out"

✔️Task out (verb)- to make tasks for current stories

✔️If you cannot estimate how much time it would take to finish the story, then you definitely need to task it out

Чуть-чуть поговорим о таком распространённом сегодня понятии, как T-shaped person.

✔️T-shaped person is an individual who has deep knowledge and skills in a particular area of specialization, along with and the desire and ability to make connections across disciplines.

✔️The horizontal bar of the T symbolizes a breadth of general knowledge and soft skills, while the vertical stem of the T symbolizes the depth of technical hard skills.

✔️Знаете, есть фраза «Jack of all trades, a master of none” (пер. Мастер на все руки, а мастера нет) Так вот T-shaped person is “Jack of all trades, master of (at least) one”😆

#Вопрос_от_студента: Что такое «on-prem»? 🤷🏻‍♂️

✔️On-prem- краткое для on-premise. Дословно переводится как “на предприятии”, что означает использование собственных ресурсов для размещения программного обеспечения.

👨‍👩‍👧Все знают три вопроса, на которые от вас ожидают ответ во время Daily Stand-up:

Последним вопросом, который мы обычно игнорируем и говорим “No impediments, no questions”, не стоит пренебрегать… Ведь Scrum гуру зачем-то его придумали🤷‍♀️

Варианты того, как об этом говорить, могут варьироваться:

✔️I’m uncertain whether the automated tests should go all the way to the database tables written by the legacy system, or I should just use mock objects

✔️We had some issues with...

✔️I’m finding it difficult…

✔️The only impediment is that the design a little more complex than we thought

🙅‍♀️Если же трудностей действительно нет, можно сказать:

✔️I don’t have any dependencies (то есть выполнение вашей задачи ни от кого не зависит… кроме вас)

Здесь можно использовать будущее время, конструкцию to be going to и еще много чего.

Давайте посмотрим на примеры:

Как можно оптимально рассказать о том, над чем вы работали вчера?

Можем просто использовать старый добрый Past Simple (говорим о законченных действих в прошлом):

✔️I spent yesterday pair programming with Tim on the Update Grades PBI, using TDD (вместо того, чтобы просто сказать I pair programmed with Tim…)

✔️Yesterday I finished mapping the legacy database schema

✔️I was able to/managed to point out edge cases the developer wouldn’t have thought of (когда хотите аккуратно подчеркнуть свои достижения)

💆‍♂️А что если вы были человеком-ждуном: у вас не было активных тасок или вы должны были ждать, пока ваш тим мембер закончит какую-нибудь задачу? Можно просто сказать:

📌When asked about your weaknesses, give a real weakness!

📌Answers like "My greatest weakness is that I work too hard" tell your interviewer that you're arrogant and/or won't admit to your faults.

📌A good answer conveys a real, legitimate weakness but emphasizes how you work to overcome it.
