Reason for the lack of content. I work for a small (8 people) construction company and I'm the only welder. Seeing as the majority percentage of our work is metal fabrication and welding, I've been absurdly busy lately. When I'm not working, I'm spending time with my wife and kids. To keep up, I'll be sharing some stuff from a couple pages I enjoy. Pictured is a full set of handrails and gates we fabbed and welded for a local amusement park.

Hail the coming Winter. The harsh winters of Appalachia have shaped our people here. Even going back to Ancient Germanic and Celtic Europe, the winter has shaped our race, weeding out the weak, and forcing our ancestors to become more resilient and intelligent. Adversity has always built the greatest of strength!! We owe this sacred season the greatest of debts! Picture is of Elk River Falls, in Avery County, NC, near the TN/NC line. We spent a good part of our teen years swimming here, and doing some base jumping. Observe the beauty of the extreme! HAIL HOLY WINTER!!
I obviously don't advocate this. I do wonder if something that can't be found with a metal detector would be better than nails though 🤔
Remember. You are the result of the perseverance of your ancestors. You're the product of 1000 loves and 10,000 hardships. You wake up tomorrow because of the sacrifice and determination of those who came before you. The glint in your children's eyes is the same one that's been seen on Christmas mornings for eons in your family. Your great grandmother saw it in your grandfathers eyes and he saw it in your father's eyes. Those in your house aren't the only ones with you. Thank them for their time. Their support. Their sacrifice. I wish all of you a safe and wonderful holiday.
Gods has it been a year.... I went from being a landscaper gettin my "single dude" on to jumping feet first back into my career of welding/construction and busting my ass to provide for my fiance and future step kids... I (again) apologize for my lack of content as I'm traveling a good bit for work and most of my other time goes to my family trying to give them as much dad time as I can since theirs hasn't been around. I will still be putting up nature photos as much as I can and will absolutely continue with the folkish and naturesperging. I also have a few new possible ventures in the idea phase so, stick around! Also, GO OUTSIDE!
A couple highlights from my sneak off hunting trip yesterday
Santa brought the kids Red Ryder bb guns for Christmas/Jul (no eyes were shot out) and brought dad a membership to the local sportsmans association so he could teach them how to use them
Some wildlife from a jobsite
